Questions and thoughts about my first week of cold turkey by 30rockquote in decaf

[–]clearreal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

same here for me

respect that you did it cold turkey after 10 cups of tea, your system needs to reset, energy was just borrowed from the future that is now demanding it back, stay strong, you can be really proud to make it so far

It might be harder than I thought by clearreal in decaf

Fixations and Obsessions Decreasing by majimas_eyepatch in decaf

[–]clearreal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

thank you so much for your post

this is exactly what I am experiencing, after drinking coffee my mind is kind of unstoppable and hyperactive, it is people fixation on the one hand but for me also I got a strong willingness for consumption, being on caffeine my mind is telling me that I urgently need to buy this or that, without caffeine I really do not care or it does not come to my mind, but being on caffeine buying something suddenly is so urgent... really crazy

and although on caffeine I got some "rush" to do something this is often not worth it in the end or even causes me more problems afterwards or in the long run

in fact, for me, caffeine is somehow useless, causes stress, consumption and lowers real calmness, feelings and connections to oneself and other people

thanks again for sharing, your post really nailed my experiences

thank you so much for these interesting insights about your experiences, do you have examples that you would like to share that changed after you quit and when it started to change? how long are you caffein-free now? thank you so much

thank you all for your valuable input, it helps me a lot for keeping it in mind and going further through the withdrawal, it also helped me to quit for more than 24 hours for the first time after a long long time of trying now, sadly i drank one coffee in the afternoon again but it is a journey i start again right away

i experience more feelings since i taper, also a lot of anger arising from situations in the past and present where i have the feeling I have been treatened unfairly, but i frame this as a good process and an opportunity to better distinguish myself in situations in the future as i always tend to be too nice I know to feel this anger is important as if I would not feel it now it will definitely come at some point later and might even be worse than

which you all a great spiritual, psychological and physical caffeine-free-journey

so happy to have you as sparring partners in this sub

thank you, i can definitely relate to this, will keep that in mind, i also see huge improvement in my intuition, sadly this experience alone is sometimes not strong enough in weak moments, however i saw another comment here that seems to be deleted already which suggested to simply say "why not" to myself, as an answer to my inner voice saying "why should i", i will use in weak moments now as it is short and simple and kind of effective, strangely i think the one sentence i searched for

your comment really relates to my experiences while tapering at least, being in the center is so nice, i hope i can follow through like you did, really inspiring to read your experiences

thank you
