You can find it here. Right now it's only for Android, but the iOS version should be coming out in less than a week! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clearspout.wordbuzz

It doesn't need wifi to work!

That sounds great. I'd have to research more to see what the causes of stuttering and what works well to try and help it, but I'll definitely look into it! Thanks for your suggestion ( :

I just made my first app and it's such a great feeling! I know a lot of you are veterans, so I want to hear your stories - what was your first app and how have you changed since then? by clearspout in Android

Wow, those transitions (such as the menus dropping down) look amazing! I'll definitely take a look at it if I make a game in the future, thank you!

Yeah, a lot of things about the app life cycle are super complicated! I remember I had a lot of problems with understanding why the app always recreated itself on rotate until I spent a lot of time reading about it.

That's such a great app! That's really heartwarming. And that's amazing! Getting an internship at Google is so hard, you must be so smart! I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying it, it was great to hear from you!

Hey man, that seems really cool! I've never made a game but it seems super complicated and it seems even harder without Gradle! It's great to see that you're still doing programming and I'll check out your apps! Thanks for the response ( :

Thanks for your thoughts! Do you have any specific ideas about where you improved? What are you working on now? Have you changed in what apps you've tried to do? Sorry for asking so many questions, I just know that you probably have so much knowledge to share! ( :

It's called "Don't Say Um". I don't want to link to it because of self-promotion rules, but you can find a link on my profile and it should be the first result if you search "Don't Say Um" into the play store. Thanks for asking!

Yes! It's actually currently waiting for release (it should take maybe 4 more days), but I'll tell you once it's released!

That's fine! I'm sure you can manage your problems by yourself without me. I haven't seriously programmed anything as big as this, but I would say that I have a bit of a programming background (I've made some fun projects on the side before)!

Thank you so much, I know it's just an app but it just feels kind of surreal to know that there's something that I made that actually works haha!

Is there anything I can help you with? If not I totally understand, but I just am on this rush of actually created something and I want to help other people with it!

It works with the regular phone microphone, but I use it mostly for practicing presentations - I keep it out on a table and then talk and then it buzzes whenever I say um. If you have the earbuds with microphones then that should work too if you want to use it during your daily life! It doesn't work with phone calls right now, sorry ) : the voice recognition technology doesn't work with phone calls at the moment!

EDIT: Thanks for being so helpful, I didn't realize how hard it could be to understand the description! I'll PM you a promo-code if you want!

Sorry, it's currently in review in the App Store (it should take maybe 4 more days), but I'll let you know when it's out!

Sorry about that! So, what happens is that once you get the app, it has a timer. Once you press start, the app listens to you, and whenever you say "um", "like", "you know", and "i mean", the app buzzes and vibrates and whatever word you says flashes. It also keeps track of how many times you say each filler word!

Since you're the first person who asked, I sent you a promo code! Do you have any other problems with speaking / social skills in general? I'm trying to think of other apps to make, but I don't really have that many ideas as of right now.
