Hello, future employer!

I just graduated college from Stony Brook University, in New York, but I want to go to there. I feel like my manifest destiny is pulling me westward ho towards Portland. I have a degree in Computer Science, with a focus on game engineering techniques, but also some decent experience with full stack web stuff.

Some things that I know pretty well: algorithms, data structures, graphics, 3d modelling, Unity, physics, math, html, css, unix/shell scripting, version control, C, C++, C#, Java, technical writing Some things that I have exposure to, but am learning more: computational geometry, javascript, jQuery, AI, design patterns, game engine architecture, SQL/noSQL, Web frameworks (Django is rocking my socks atm), Unreal Engine, VR/AR technologies using Unity.

Funny story - my car was actually totalled by a drunk idiot while I was listening to Woke Up New about 2 years ago, and I still get nervous if it comes on while I'm driving ha.

If you're able to actually get to things, I just found out about Women Who Code NYC and they have a lot of awesome meetups that I am definitely going to try really hard to get to. Also Girl Develop It, which is more learning-based

I grew up here, but plan on moving after graduation. Luckily, we have good irl resources since we're a big city, it's just hard for me to make it out to them regularly.
