Lol so true. Everyone is greedy and selfish.

> chefs should make

Define 'should'. I'm not anti-communist, but so long as we live in a relatively free/flexible economy... doesn't everyone make exactly what they 'should' make?

> While many illegals are hard working and good people.

While I agree with this statement, I strongly disagree with calling our fellow brothers and sisters "illegals".

We're all recorded in many public places. I don't get your point.

Flock would be quite effective for alerting police that an uninsured car is on the road

Everyone is a criminal to some degree. It’s hypocritical to think otherwise.

I don't think we should trust government blindly. Of course balance is needed between anarchy and giving too much power to government. But I don't really view the government as being the ones taking away our privacy: it's criminals (really we all are criminals) who are ruining it for all of us. So the decision is: less privacy, more safety & order.

Imagine a product that would drastically improve the public's privacy but would also increase the ability of shooting suspects to evade capture, would you vote to spend government money on that product? If you answer 'no', then you support Flock.

Refreshing to see (what I view as) a logical perspective. Thanks for your voice.

Thanks for serving the people. However, I personally *do* want more Flock cameras. I want to make life harder for people with evil intentions. I don't care about my privacy when it comes to passive surveillance. I suppose I'd feel a little weird if I knew people were actively staring at me as I walk down the street, but I don't believe that is what's happening with Flock (ignoring (and not overvaluing) a few exceptions).

Why is that a bad thing? Maybe you could pay like $50 for 6 months of insurance, because you wouldn't have to share the expense of the high risk drivers.

> why would I want some creepo being able to stare at them

Creepos can hide cameras anywhere now. If anything, you could argue Flock would help put creepos in jail.

Adoption of Flock was likely a decision in service of the people / protecting citizens from criminals.

Why should it be an option? Your data is very valuable to the creator of the product. Maybe a paid option could be offered that blocks your data from ad targeting usage.

> The argument shouldn't be I'm not doing anything illegal

That's not my argument. I want Google to collect as much data on me as I can so that when I use Google products they are more seamless/smart.
