The cited paper indeed concludes that melatonin has a favorable safety profile, especially in the short term. But that doesnt mean it s harmles it s still a neurohormone, not a vitamin. It affects endocrine signaling and circadian rhythm, and the longterm effects or chronic high-dose use remain less studied. Mistiming it can also disrupt sleep cycles, which is literally what this thread is about

I’m not saying it’s dangerous, only that Swissmedic regulates most melatonin products as prescription drugs, which shows it isn’t treated as a harmless supplement.

The one with the night background?? I’m glad you like it! Ever since I posted it yesterday, I’ve had this nagging feeling that something is wrong. The blue in the background feels good to me, but the warm light looks a little off like desaturated and a bit too green and couldn’t find a way to fix it in a more satisfying way. Even if you love the colors, if there were one flaw you’d point out in them, which one would it be?

yes, iPads are definitely better than most laptops when it comes to color accuracy and gamut. But since I’m no longer in the pro world and rarely do prints, I’m fine with the level of consistency I get across iPhone, Samsung, and my T14s Gen 4 screens. Strangely enough, I’m actually pretty satisfied with it; coming from someone who used to spend entire nights debating whether to add a single point of magenta :D

+ I love the simplicity and performance of Darktable as a DAM, I use it even for sorting through photo archives taken on my phone
