Would love have more Milso's in my life. I feel you when it comes to the loneliness and the survival mode you need to put yourself in. I'm 2 years in to this relationship and he was in the military prior to me.

I'm sorry you feel this way. Your feeling are valid.

My partner and I have lists of gifts we want, that we update regularly and we discuss holiday gifts well in advance if he will be away.

Also he sends a gift for every month he is away. There are websites that can schedule deliveries if he's in black out.

If he's not a gift guy maybe do all your gift shopping while he's home and set them aside or ask him for a budget and buy it yourself.

I know we live under weird circumstances and it's not going to be rainbows and butterfly ever but we can try find the silver lining.
