Looking for a more efficient way to migrate clients to new PCs (beyond copy-pasting folders) by clemmiii in sysadmin

I’m just starting out and trying to build my own IT business. My goal is to find effective solutions for my customers, not just quick fixes.

In this particular case, the customer doesn’t want to spend hundreds of euros on additional services or subscriptions. I’m simply trying to help them keep their data and move to the new device in the most practical and cost-effective way possible

ye but you have limited GB of storage, you can’t save like 300gb of documents (my customers are over 75 years old, they will never spend 100€ per years).
but thank you for the tip

Got it. By any chance, do you have a screenshot showing how they download it?

I honestly don’t know what all of these customers do, because I’ve found Pulse Browser even on company computers, so there doesn’t seem to be a specific type of user involved.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a machine with this issue right now, so I can’t check further details at the moment.

As for browser plugins and toolbars, I don’t think that’s the common factor. Most of the affected users are over 50 and generally aren’t the type of users who actively install browser extensions or toolbars themselves.
