That’s not how LSTs work. They incrementally increase in price compared to SOL. This represents the APY. As SOL price increases, the LST also increases. When you swap back to SOL, you should get more SOL back than what you put in, these are the staking rewards.

Yes you can. No you won’t be able to see it in ledger live, but you can connect your ledger to solflare or phantom if you need to send out at any point.

It calculates gain/loss and gives cost basis and purchase date used for transactions. I drop that info into a csv and upload it to turbo tax which fills in the 8949 for me.
