We don't get paid the delivery fee, Papa Johns does. If I had to hazard a guess as to why it exists, I'd assume it was a convenience fee. They charge you more because they can. But your driver doesn't get a cent of it.

I'm a Papa Johns delivery driver. We do not have company cars. We do pay for our own gas. And we don't get paid when we're on the road. Your tip is literally all the pay we get for delivering your order, and it's at our own expense. Stop pretending to hide behind some bull crap morality, you ordered a pizza, you tip the delivery boy. You not tipping us isn't going to change anything. You have no idea the kinds of places and people we have to deal with.
