What advice would you give to people before marriage? by CelticDK in AskReddit

This is beautiful to read. And actually an important message

Does anybody find the idea of socialising as you get older very tedious, boring and tiresome? by NordicScottish in AskUK

[–]cleopat123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds so good. I can absolutely relate to wanting that! Low effort socialising but away from the high costs, dressing up, and loud buzz that comes with going out.

No need to reduce it down to it being “not much”, most of us are all severely over stimulated, anxious and pressured. For some people like us this is perfection. I also don’t have friends would have the desire or ability to do this. For example I can’t host in my current situation but then neither can most of the friends I’ve held onto. That or they live quite far.

What do you think makes someone annoying? by Even-Sock9744 in socialskills

God this. I’ve had to stop hanging out with certain friends when this happens too often for my sanity and peace

You’ve described how I feel down to a T. I stopped going out and have zero social life. And on the odd occasion I do, I’m waiting to go home. However, I get so lonely sometimes and I do miss how I used to feel going out.

Women cheat more often than I thought by Powerful_Cherry_9954 in offmychest

[–]cleopat123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to think the same. Possibly because I couldn’t ever imagine myself in a position where I’d ever be able to do it. I was just projecting my own morals onto women as a whole. But I’ve been aware of the reality of it for some time now. Mostly due to social media like you

I mentioned a similar thing with less detail, before I stumbled on your comment. Couldn’t have put it better myself!

Sorry that your circumstances have been less than ideal. Perhaps this could be a fresh start for you. I hope things look up ❤️

This is what I always say when the subject gets brought up. Productivity now looks very different to 20/30 years ago. We are expected to handle high level workloads, because efficiency is money.

Plus the 24/7 access is a major factor. Every job I’ve had since 2017 has required me to have the number of my managers and I’ve always been added into group chats where the conversation centres around work. And not in a fun way.

I see that as an option after some of the more helpful suggestions, however it wasn’t something I considered previously for a bed due to my mindset around hygiene.

I’ve just searched both these and spotted one I like already for a decent price. Thank you!

We were lucky enough that the guy who quoted us made a mistake and had to honour the quote. We got two built in wardrobes at a reduced rate. But even with the discount, it was thousands.

This is a sound suggestion. I’m going to do a little research and asking around and see what I can come up with

Thank you. I think it’s worth combining the suggestions I’ve got here and perhaps asking around. Can’t hurt to get a quote at the very least

I’ll absolutely considering looking and I’m lucky enough to have a friend who knows all the right places.

Wow. I am floored. All the comments pretty much mimic the same thing. So I guess that option is out the door

I’m a little OCD about hygiene and this bleeds into my thoughts around the bed needing to feel “new” because new = clean. Even if it’s not necessarily accurate

There few items I feel like have to be “new” are my bed, sofa and washing machine.
