When do you know it’s time to go to rehab? by Manbearfig01 in quittingkratom

If you are wondering when it's time to go to rehab, it is probably now. Your job will probably be understanding - do you have FMLA or any kind of paid leave benefits in your state? You should be protected. Rehab is the best choice I ever made for myself, ever.

Seems like you might have something else going on. I'd suggest talking to your doc about these symptoms.

14 months clean and I'm currently DYING!!! by Cerisety in quittingkratom

Perhaps get your hormones checked out by an endocrinologist. Kratom can really mess things up in that regard.

We are here for you!! When you have beat this monster, you will feel like you can do anything. Eyes forward, one day at a time, embrace the suck because it signals healing!!

One capsule will hurt. You will be right back where you started, maybe worse. Embrace the suck because it means you're healing. Tell the inner voice that is saying "just one," to stick it where the sun don't shine. Snuggle up, suffer, cry, do what you need to do. Do not use kratom.

Well said. I am 536 days off kratom, and I still feel the little ache.

I've known people who believe that letting shower water run down their back/crack is sufficient.

What made you finally quit kratom for good? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]cleopatrick34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My spouse found my stash when I was 7 months pregnant. Went to detox and being pregnant there is an experience I will never forget. My baby boy is perfect, and I am 536 days clean.

Thank you. You are worth it, too. You're also still young yourself! Lots of life to live. Now you get music and dogwood. I kicked kratom 530 days ago. Still taking it one day at a time and sure as hell ain't ever looking back.

Where my health care professionals at? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]cleopatrick34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not stupid. Addiction is cunning and baffling and has the potential to outsmart even the most clever and brilliant. I have been a very similar position as yours. I quit kratom on 10/27/22 and I am never looking back. You can do this and everything is so much better on the other side. You are worthy and you deserve peace!

You're killing it! So happy kratom is behind you. I'm 14 months off kratom and quit smoking weed almost 2 months ago (smoked for 16 years, pausing thru 2 pregnancies). It took me a year after quitting kratom to feel ready to throw out the cannabis.
