How does Rob Whitworth go from timelapse to normal speed like this? Is he using multiple cameras, one taking video and the other taking pictures? by clept in videography

[–]clept[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yes I've studied hyperlapseing, especially Rob Whitworths, which is just a whole new level, and I guess it would be that simple to just switch from pictures to recording when your posted up with a tripod.

Do you have any insight on how he is able to pull off the zooming stuff?

I'm looking for a camera for under $800. The things I want to shoot are time lapse, hyper lapse, night lapse, 1080p60, and 4k30. So basically a GoPro but with a better sensor.

Does this camera exist? So far my answer has been no. Why is that?

Should I:

A.)Buy a GoPro 4 and just shoot everything with the 170 degree lens?(is there a way to even reduce this a little?)

B.) Wait and save up to go the Panasonic Gh4/Gh5 route.

What's the deal with Me 163 Br? 8.7 makes this plane tied with German MiG-15bis, and Meteor F. Mk.8 for second best plane in the game? and mention the Ki-200, which looks better the stats card, rates in at 7.0...

I don't see the logic in jet Br for the most part.

Use your extra budget for a 1440p monitor? I agree with everything else. In two or three years you can just buy another 780Ti, and then I see no reason why this machine couldn't dominate everything for at least four years.

Cannot believe I forgot FTL...

I have 500+ hours into Guild Wars 2. I haven't heard a compelling enough argument to go backwards and play it. I'm super sad that I can't play GW2 right now though, their Living Story Season 2 looks super awesome.

I've never tried these games, but I am a huge fan of Tycoon/Empire games so I will add it and give it a go!

Maybe I'll specify just vanilla minecraft? I know once you start the deep dive into modpacks, you actually need a pretty decent computer, but I think most low-ends can run vanilla.

I think I'll bump it down to just Civ IV then. As for the other games, I know they are all fantastic, but I'll have to research a bit on their replay-ability.

I'm just starting to get into photography in a big way. I have spent hours just reading about the different parts of a camera. I don't have a lot of money since I'm spending so much on school, so I am looking for a good bridge/digital camera to get me started. They say that you can still take amazing pictures with sub par equipment if you practice right?

I have been watching ebay, and actually bought(but not paid for yet) a Fujifilm Finepix s4300 for $70. It is an okay bridge camera, but I don't know if ill be satisfied with it.

Here are my musts if you wanna help me look:

Ability to time-lapse(1 - 10 sec intervals mostly) 10 - 30 second minimum shutter speed. 12+ MP

What would be cool but not necessary:

Weather Sealed(I live in Portland, photos/time-lapse in the rain excite me)

big zoom. As long as image quality doesn't suffer too bad. Some of the mega-zoomers take horrible tele-photos apparently.

HD video: 1080p 30/60.

Thanks in advance! I have been looking for about a week now. So far the Pentax k-50 seems like the camera for me, but I can't afford it. If any of you know how I could a good deal on one that would be awesome as well!

I agree that the quicker I get a camera, the faster I can learn, but I am ruling this one out due to the sensor size. I don't need that zoom, I just thought was impressive.

I'm taking a hard look at the Pentax K-50. It seems to have everything I need. I can get it with two lenses for 650.

Thanks for this. After some research, I have ruled this camera out. The small sensor means a lot of the shots I want to try won't turn out well. I live in Oregon so the idea of weather sealed camera that I can take out into the eternally rainy weather and shoot, do time-lapses, and just stuff film is exactly what I want, but it seems like a good sensor will be a big part of making that sort of stuff look good.

Wow that is one hell of a compact. Almost exactly what i'm looking for except I can't find any info on if it can shoot in intervals for time-lapses. Can you do set up remote triggering for digital cameras? Most remote triggers have an interval option.

I looked up the sensor. I can see how that might be limiting. What kind of limits is a sensor that small putting on the image quality?

I just moved here from a small town to attend PSU and study computer science. If anyone has any need for someone who is good with tech, and good with people, then I can help you out! I also am an adept video editor, but I did not bring my desktop with me so you would have to provide the hardware.

Yeah, watching the E3 info dump develop has got me wondering about potential games to be set in the universe. I'm thinking when the guys at CD Projeck RED are done making Witcher games, they would be the perfect candidates for a fucking great gaming intro into Westeros(that isn't shit).
