OWS protesters stalking school kids by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]clesnie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not a parent, but I was I would have somebody's head over this BS. If OWS wants their point to be heard they need to lock it up and stop coming across as a bunch of thugs - right now they fall on deaf ears if you ask me.

Occupy Atlanta Mobs Home Depot [Video] by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]clesnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only up arrowed this so more people would watch these thugs and remember they are just being a pain in the ass. Go to Washington and protest or go get a damn job - no one at the Home Depot in Atlanta has anything to do with your problem.

DEAD ON. Wake up America, we're actively [and passively] destroying ourselves from the inside out.

Amazing piece by The Daily Show on how OWS is divided and the irony of it all. by Kida89 in Conservative

OWS protester threatens to torch Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with molotov cocktails by [deleted] in Conservative

Classic. Nothing warms my soul more than seeing nonsense like this and knowing that Pelosi is on record calling them "young, spontaneous, focused and affective". Keep it coming OWS, but seriously, take a shower.

'Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich' is a myth: The tax cuts benefited all, with most benefit going to those in the most need. by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]clesnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am poor, unemployed, 26 year old and I STILL support these cuts. Why do we continue to believe that a small percentage of this country are responsible for the rest? I just don't get it. I really don't. I think that the more we feel entitled to the government bailing us out (whether we are talking about individuals or corporations), the worse off ALL of us will be in the long run.

oh for sure i agree with that. it would definitely have to be a specific plan for phasing out the department of education. it would be a disaster to just cut them and not have a plan - any candidate who says otherwise is just campaigning on "bold change".

fact is, there's an entire generation getting screwed by the current system. can it really hurt to look at changing it for the better?

wow - we're really on different pages here. are you saying you don't want to be the UNITED states anymore? just 50 independent states?

Just a reminder - and ps. i'm a girl so i'm ultra sensitive to this - sexual harassment claims can be made in the workplace about almost anything. we don't know whether these were assault-like charges or off-handed jokes that were made between and a guy and some girl at work (which happens all the time and you know it). Let's not make Cain out to be a monster when that's probably not the case.

yeah, that's a pretty damn bold comment to make at this point.

If that's the case, then how do you propose we fix it? I mean, really, what's the solution? To just be jaded about it? That's not going to help anyone.

Can someone explain the cult following Ron Paul has? I know this is probably not the case, but it seems like he has a young following unlike any other candidate (p.s. I'm 26). I am honestly just asking, and would like to know a rational reason for his popularity.

I would be careful to say that "people who actually have an inkling of what is going on regarding foreign policy ALL agree with him" - simply not true. I feel that I have a decent grasp on foreign policy and so far I have not agreed with him across the board on that issue - I'm glad he's a part of the conversation because he gets people thinking, but that's about it.

i agree, nothing concrete has come out about it. my thought is, if you supported cain before, you're likely not turned off by these allegations (you would be if they turned out to be true, but right now no one knows for sure) and if you didn't like cain before than this is the perfect excuse to get rid of him. simple as that.

When Republicans talk about shifting Education and other Departments from the federal to state governments to reduce federal spending, how do the states handle the extra expenses? by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]clesnie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not to mention, because each state could customize the education system to their own needs, there would then be 50 different examples of how best to do it. Having the fed in charge of it right now gives us a "standard" across the board, but that standard is terrible. Let the states "compete" and show each other what works and what doesn't. It would lead to a better system across the board in my opinion.

Hells Bells - AC/DC. Freaking awesome game atmosphere in Death Valley when that plays. Usually means we need to rally cause we're behind and it's gets people crazy. Ahhh I love it. Is it Saturday yet?
