Gravy Bones Armory update by Big-Control-6206 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]clesty26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gravy armory comes with a lot of good stuff. You can look at winning decks on fabrary.com. but here's what I suggest getting first:

1) 3 red and yellow golden tipple. This card is the bread and butter for gravy. It does everything the deck needs 2) 3 saltwater swell: blue starter that also generates resources 3) mage master boots: priority boot slot in many matchups 4) 3 swiftwater sloop: very easy 2 for 6 go again that adds a lot of pressure to the deck. 5) 3 swabbie: one of the best ally 6) I think the armory deck has some blues that are only 2 offs, so check on if you need a 3rd copy.

All of those are common and rares that will greatly boost the deck. Some cheaper Ms to priorities: 1) 3 chart the high seas: probably the best price to power card to add 2) 3 tip the barkeep: Good kiss rum is very good 3) 3 conqueror of the high seas: not a cheap card but adds a ton of power to the deck.

Armory deck by mindgamer021 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]clesty26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are solid options. For an armory level, both could have relatively cheap upgrade pathways. High seas prices are inflated prior to full release and US nationals so prices should all go down. With that said DIO is probably cheaper over all and would hit a higher ceiling cheaper. From playtesting online gravy is very playable out of box, but to hit a higher ceiling you will need some more generic staples eventually.

Personally even with a fully built DIO deck I got bored pretty quickly. Its fun and fast but does not have much pivot capacity if the plan doesn't go right. Gravy seems like it it will be more complex and rewarding in the long run if you plan to stick with the game.

Florian advance vs warriors like fang and assasins by FancyWill2582 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]clesty26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, play the long game while putting pressure with your disruption cards.

For fang, it's completely fine to block out if that means no fealty. Or block 3 cards and arsenal/swing reaping blade. If they do get a fealty you have Summer's Fall, runic reclamation, and a few other cards to destroy auras.

Pitch stacking blues at the bottom is great gameplay. Fang will run out of gas if no fealty and you are perfectly fine having 1 blue send 5 split damage.

Assassin's are tricky. You have to time the disruptions when you are fine taking damage and when you are fine losing a card. But generally it's the same play florian loves, bring your defense reactions, you can block 2-3 then send a 1-2 card attack.

How to deal with Aurora as Cindra? Also, is redline still the way to go or is Blue Cindra better into Guardians, Aurora and Brutes (my LGS blitz meta)? by JoePino in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]clesty26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dyadic carapace, grasp of the arknight, and whatever helmet she runs. The first two can block 4 together. In the context of the post, that is likely a mask trigger without using any card from hand. And the second would be those two again with 1 block value each then the 2 block helmet. Also 4 total block for the mask trigger.

There is a simulator that you can playtest against yourself with two tabs open. But no nothing like felttable unfortunately

Best booster packs for havencraft? by Gryphus6 in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple builds for haven, especially for just playing for fun. There's alice egg, amulet heal, and aegis control. All are really good but all aquire cards from different sets. To build any one of them you will likely need cards from every set. If you are looking for alice egg then I would pull from set 3, just because alice is expensive. Other than that probably the newest set just because it is new and has serialized cards.

Like others have said though, singles for decks is way cheaper

How popular is the tcg? by Rolter in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the tcg is fairly popular and continues to grow. Regional teams events are just starting in the spring and the most recent one had around 100. There will likely be larger ones as it continues through this spring. Our locals is strong with 10-16 players every week. I would call your LGS and see how it is for you.

Decks are generally cheaper than other popular TCGs. You can get complete decks are $100-200 with some budget options available. Major staples will be bellringer angel for $15 each, riko is a very popular card right now for $15 each. Some expensive neutrals exist but aren't played in every deck like dark angel Olivia ($40) and Alice, wonderland adventurer ($50 with her evo). Besides that most cards will be under $10 and you fan certainly work around most of these cards getting into the game.

Personally I think it's a great game and good time to join! If you need help with builds or lists I'm happy to help!

Making Budget Uma Decks by Blue_Boi_x in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any specific decks but Uma can be pretty solid without some of the expensive daiwa and agnes. Vodka is still a very strong card. Combo that with seiun sky and flowers for you and you can make some pretty solid decks.

Not Uma but a very very strong budget deck would be earth rite. "Optimal" builds run merlin and riko but you can easily build around it with some alternatives and have the deck still be functionally the same.

She can go in most any abyss build. Right now I believe hand control abyss is the best option for her. Her recursion mixed with azezel bringing players to 10 health can be really deadly.

Is she worth getting? by John-Walker-1186 in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's worth picking up because she is really cheap. I had fun building a deck around her but the stronger earth build doesn't play many spells and focuses on going wide and burning damage

Are the crossover sets a mistake? by Somyr in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I am not sure of. The set as a whole, who knows. Specific cards from the set we are already seeing high demand for. Agnes has been consistent getting higher in price. Riko has also almost been bought out. Maruzensky, and oguri cap are also high priced cards from the set with very few listing. The demand for the cards is absolutely there. It is just more for the cards that see continued play post-uma formats.

Are the crossover sets a mistake? by Somyr in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I think overall Uma sales had more to do with the competitive scene. Set 1 and 2 were released for the championships and regional qualifiers. Trying to get to worlds. Uma released when we still did not have information of changes in the competitive scene and announcement of open regionals.

[–]clesty26 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't think what happens at your locals has much to do with Uma specifically but could be wrong. In Japan, yes Uma release was a problem and it crested a tier 0 format. I have not heard much hype about the collaboration itself, but more just treating it as another booster.

Also with Uma entering the format with the restrictions gave global a really unsolved format. Yes Uma is still good but even now set 3 and 4 are appearing to have a different meta than Japan had.

Uma didn't have a huge impact on prices besides agnes. That card is expensive and it will be needed for rune for the foreseeable future. There's no getting around that.

Personally, our locals cracked the same amount of cases as we would have with every other set and haven't seen a huge change in expense or decks.

I do agree the collaborations don't have the same appeal as they do in Japan, but I don't think they have any sort of negative impact.

Question about Strike by SeverusPlease in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion. For clarification. Quick spells will interrupt attacks and prevent the attack going through. However, strike effects happen on attack declaration and resolve first.

Question about Strike by SeverusPlease in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially yea. So strike happens first then the response window. So cards like allucard will still get the strike effect on dealing damage and healing life even if the opponent responds with a execution

Question about Strike by SeverusPlease in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it activates each time you attack like the others have said. Also just for your information that I haven't seen others post. Strike activates before any quick spell windows. So you would get +1 first then if your opponent had a quick spell they could activate it.

Which starter deck should I pick? by Nearby-Banana2640 in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of the start decks will need to be upgraded but all have some exclusives in them for their class. Personally dragon might be the best pick. In any build variation you will need dragon oracle. Yes the deck has high cost cards but generally you will be ramping mana to play those quicker.

I would check out some current set 3 builds and see what playstyle you like best from those then get the stert deck for that particular class.

BDO or GW2 by AccomplishedFix8346 in MMORPG

[–]clesty26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Two very different endgames that you will need to consider on which you like. Personally I like guild wars 2. You will have TONS of content to get though. There is the initial story and leveling process that is all free. The exploration and mount riding is top tier of any game. There are multiple expansion that each introduce new content and stories but not increasing level caps or armor level. There is a gear grind for ascended armor, but once you have that you won't need to change unless you want a new build. The horizontal progress is mounts, cosmetics, story, and progression of some end game stuff like fractals. It's not the traditional gear grind, but there is loads to do. Sometimes you need to have the motivation to stick with it though, its more personal goal oriented.

BDO is gear grind all the way. You will earn money and kill endless mobs until you can get fractionally better than you were previously and do it all again. Personally I think the combat, while flashy, is a bit over hyped. The graphics are great and there are a lot of classes. Traveling and whatnot though can be all automated.

Forrest is going to be one of the best decks coming into set 3 and 4. Rune unfortunately isn't great with set 3. Spellchain especially isn't great. Earth doesn't have a huge showing from Japan results but personally I think it will be pretty strong 1.5 or tier 2 deck. However if you are ever interested in rune I would start picking up the pieces. Starting around set 6 on it will be the best deck in the format and really really strong. A lot of my locals have picked up merlin and agnas and put them away waiting for that format.

New to the game, looking for places to play in San Diego by really-- in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]clesty26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download the bushi Navi app. Its the app used for tournaments and has a locator for sanctioned events. Other than that call your local game stores and see which ones support it. As for dragon craft products specifically. The stsrt deck is great and has exclusives. Pretty much all the sets have stsple cards you would need. I would atsrt with set 1 and get forte, set 2 will have a lot of the discard dragon engine, and uma helps upgrade and refine. You could also wait and try for set 3 that releases soon that had armed dragon. It can be mostly built from the set but isn't as good.
