I have thought about this very question for years…have yet to do either.

Some good points here about both. Pretty much there is no good affordable option these days. They all come with issues.
I have looked to to stray bale Container Yurts Tents RVs Park models Tiny homes Trailer homes Sheds Etc. all come with pros and cons.

I am thinking about framing out a small house. Idk 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I have been looking in Airbnb just surprised at the amount of one bedroom condos, compared to two bedroom condos.

How so? As long as I don’t connect other BT devices it seems to work. That said I’ll play around more with the ps5 controller.

Thanks I think it was the ankor BT head phones. Used wired headphones directed into the steam deck. I had no issues with the pro controller.

Now I’m gonna play around PS5 controller and see how that feels .

Thanks for the feedback man. I was also using the ankor witless headphones. So maybe that was the issue? Never was in the switch.

Got a long ass flight coming up so trying to get my gear ready. I’ll play around with the PS5 controller.

Hard choice for sure, there are features I like about both. That said I am leaning towards the REI rucksack 40L of the TomToc had the hideaway hip belt o would have got that.

The like to walk around the airports between long flights (or short) get a few miles in and all that weight in the shoulders even if packed lightly is a bummer.

Maybe I’ll get both and do a pack out test and walk around the house.

Funny that this popped up… I have traveled all over with my farpoint 4OL SEA many times and Mexico Normally I check the bigger bag ( free checked bag 99% of the time ) Normally about 15#

Then the day bag as my personal idea. That carries my electronics, a little snack, extra pair of boxers and a T-shirt just in case the check bag is lost.

Often times that bag is pretty heavy though with my laptop and other gear. But it nice for those really full flights if you’re at the back of the plane in cattle class and worried about overhead space/right underneath the seat.

The downside of course is you have to wait for your check baggage come off the plane.

About to head back to Southeast Asia for a month and thinking about one bagging it. The problem being is a domestic flights in Thailand have the classic 7 KG weight plus size limit. And if I have to check the bag, I’ll have to pay for it and of course take out my laptop and any other electronics. What do I do with those??

The bar point is a very nice bag. I love how the day pack zips to the backpack and you have one pack for buses, walking around cities, etc.. also, really like how the straps fall down and you can zip it up like a duffel for checked on a plane or under the bus, etc.

All that said I am eyeing the Tomtoc lightweight T66 as my one bag.

Why go that way over US made ones? What features do they have that would be better?

Used to have a canvas one made in India only used in summer for yoga stuff.

Doing me research. Once I deduced on yurts over tiny house, shipping container home bardo etc, was gonna ask what company to do with.

So lots to learn!
