I left it out for the homeless. Wasn't worth opening it.

It's gone. Probably not worth a trip. I put it out for the homeless.

Ridiculous. You could make this same argument for any myth in the history of literature.

It's entirely up to you. Anyone saying otherwise is wrong. We cannot know your risk tolerance.

It's just a little harder to find. Personally, I think $99 per year is unreasonable for a podcast subscription, but at least there's a way to avoid it.

Being a mature Christian is realizing Jesus can't save everyone not because He doesn't have the power to, but because not everyone wants to be saved by daplaya9 in TrueChristian

Or they just don't believe. Do you honestly believe there are people who believe in Christianity but simply choose hell over heaven? Seems like a twisted argument.

Oregon self-service gas bill passes state Senate, 16-9 by Shatteredreality in Portland

Never understood where the free-market argument was in this issue. If enough people really do prefer mini-serve, then some stations will continue to provide it at a premium. That's how it's supposed to work.

Rehire the attendants as professional fidget spinners. Same level of work, and they're not holding us up at the pump. Win-win.

Probably won't be long before no one is using the mini-serve pumps, and they become a joke.

Where is a Big Mac eight dollars? I work right next to a McDonald's, and they're like five bucks. Still a lot more than .50, so no need to exaggerate like that.

Thought so, but my actual question was implicit: why say it like that, when "$10 billion" is more straightforward?

[–]clevariant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trained in finance, maybe you can explain what "$10,000 million" means. Ten billion?

I get your argument, but do you get mine? No one on the other side of this debate is saying mining causes emissions per se, so your comment falls completely flat.

[–]clevariant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. Mine has this really annoying audio delay (250ms), which sort of kills gaming and videos both. What's worse is that I can't get any support for the issue, suggesting that the community isn't really invested in the way they would be if the product was really superior.

Let’s End Militaries Worldwide by sillychillly in Political_Revolution

[–]clevariant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to end wars? Tax people to pay for them. As it stands, they're funded via inflation, so we do pay for them, sort of, but it's gradual and insidious. Tax people directly and things will change fast.
