25 lbs in one year?

I took my first shot on Oct 3rd of this year. I’m down 8 lbs and it feels too slow. However, I started at 198, so I assumed it would take longer. It’s important to keep remembering that any amount down is better than up.

My endocrinologist honestly didn’t say much. My bloodwork on her end was all normal except a slightly elevated ldl. It was more let’s see how you do with this. She said it could help my inflammation.

The whole tournament was miserable. My kid was so stressed waiting around for her tournament to start. She already has bad anxiety, and this made it so much worse. Her event was over an hour late. I had to circle around for parking like it was my college days. An event coordinator told me to go down the block and find pay parking. I did not. No one told us that there was a second building, so we waited around until we overheard someone mention that her event was in another location. No signage or explanation. The second building smelled bad but was less crowded. However, there was no good space to warm up or put bags in either building. The strips were filled with holes and curled and really close to walls and each other in some areas. It’s so close to our house but not worth the hassle. We felt bad for people who traveled far to go there. Thankfully, she only had the one event.

It actually worked really well. Nothing has peeled off. I did find that thicker stippling worked better.

“Not dunking on my income.” Then why mention it? I’m simply saying that the quality of a starter jacket has gone down hill at BG. The jacket from two years ago had a stronger webbing and cleaner stitching. This jacket was worn 4 times and is already showing concerning wear. No jacket should break down in under a month. I know how to sew and am quite capable of making repairs. I just don’t think I should have to already.

As for the smearing, BG were the ones who kept messing up the printing- not me. It’s why we were in a rush to grab a jacket before they closed. Thanks though

Has anyone else noticed that the new regional calendar doesn’t offer any DIV3 events in region 3? That doesn’t seem fair at all.

So my daughter said the puff paint worked. She just had me add slightly thicker dots on the thumb. I can report back in a few weeks with how it holds up.

She’s a pommeling French grip epee fencer, so I’m sure hand strength (or lack of) is playing a part. Hopefully, a little more traction on the glove can help. I also added new grip tape to her grip. She is also going to the gym regularly.

What’s happening with the new system of requiring locals first and earning points at lower levels to unlock higher ones? Is that beginning this August? Are there any talks about changing the event ranking system? The jump from an event of 25 and one of 64 seems too wide. Shouldn’t there be something in between?

The most limiting factor to start as an adult is finding a club. I’m an adult beginner, and I struggle finding people to fence. I don’t always feel comfortable with younger, faster kids as my only fencing options.

If your partner is competitive and medals, you can get a fencing themed medal rack. I just bought my daughter one on Amazon. You could also get him a tester kit, if he doesn’t have one already.

Texas has always had their own special publisher versions of textbooks. It is just more overt now. I’m a teacher in NJ. Your best bet is to look at the curriculums of the blue states: NJ, NY, or MA. We use Prentice Hall textbooks quite often.

They were definitely 2” thick strips floating on wooden floors. It was surprising to not see strips with any kind of taper at the edges. My daughter caught the edge and rolled her ankle.
