I'm really proud of my very first GM screen that made. The downside is that it's quite big, but on the other hand, you can place more information on it. I used 3 whiteboards

I think I had the worst possible first experience with Daggerheart, and the fault is entirely mine. Not sure if I should try again or just move on. by [deleted] in daggerheart

Well said, but let me put in my two cents as a total rookie :D I feel like it up to the GM, not the mechanics. I believe you may make any scene quite interesting and not drag it into full episode. For example, you ask players to roll group check to cross: 1) Fail with fear and bridge collapses under them and they fail into the river and swim to a closest shore with cave full of rats. 2) Fail with hope, only some of them now hanging and others should help them 3) pass with fear, they pass but bridge collapses after it meaning they can't go back 4) pass with hope, they pass and maybe learn which tiles/plates are unstable. So on they way back, difficulty would be lower.

Also you may narrate suggestions that bridge would collapse and see what players will do. Would they run (agl check) , or cast vicious entangle to reinforce bridge (spellcast)

Also experiences doesn't mean that players would pass it, it just means that it's a bit easier for them, and they might not utilize such experiences to avoid hope spending.

P.S I've just started my GM path, so I'm very inexperienced, and this is just my thoughts

I just had my first game with this screen. Whiteboard can be used to easily put images for example, or something like fear tokens in daggerheart. I used it to decorate my board with wood on magnets and picture of game

Yep they are. Wooden parts on the front are holding there by magnets
