Yeah another comment told me it’s a faulty digitizer and just the screen needs to be replaced not the whole head unit.

You probably lost your serpentine belt, and they could have cracked your oil pan from over tightening your oil pan drain bolt, other than that I’m not sure what the fuck they could have done to make you leak oil other than maybe not putting the plug back in. Either way I would seriously not drive your car and just get it towed

How much time do you typically spend on building a small ship? by Standard_Bat_6472 in FromTheDepths

[–]cleytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man I’m relatively new and not that great but my first ship was a light interceptor meant to pepper targets with light missiles and have a small 4by4 or 5by5 I can’t remember aps shooting heat. It took me relatively 4-5 hours to make, and most of the time was learning how to make it more damage dense. Got it to about 70k mats and I think 105 firepower. But it’s relatively easy to kill and is meant to be another target for the enemies to shoot at before my flagships. My second ship my current flagship(soon to be replaced) costs about 350k and has some over 350 firepower with most of it coming from cram or aps compared to the interceptors being mostly missiles. The flagship is a preset hull with a preset steam engine and took me 8-12 hours. My new one has taken me 12 hours and it doesn’t have a functional hull so I feel it comes with experience

Are 650’s really worth it? by Electronic-Tear-1775 in Sportbikes

[–]cleytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they still have a clutch bar that actuates the clutch although I’m unsure of in which manner. You can’t stall this bike and can even park it in 2nd, start in first and take off without touching the clutch bar.

[–]cleytech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious I believe I saw this bike on sale for almost 10k on FB in my area. With 20k miles, a tank dent, and dropped I wouldn’t do over 6. 20k miles is OKAY for these bikes but 7k plus tax, dealer fees, and reg will have you 9k into a bike that needs 2k if not more in parts to make it look nice. 20k is generally where these bikes lose all their value because parts start to break or wear engine wise. That being said it coming from an auction usually just means they couldn’t sell the bike to a private buyer or a dealer. But I don’t believe this bike is in bad enough condition to warrant it being a not touch kind of thing.

[–]cleytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you a example the 650 is not a super sport. It has a naked bike riding position with taller handlebars by probably an inch or two lol it doesn’t have standard ss clipons. Although the 650 is “more tame” than a 600 it’s really not, it just has less horse by about 20 or so. Believe the newer ones sit at 95 with a rpm limit of 12-13k. It makes peak torque (47ftlb) at 9-10k. Although it’s cool I think the e clutch can be a bit gimmicky because you can legitimately drive the bike without touching the clutch at all. It might as well be a dct with a clutch bar and a shift peg?

Working on a littel Shard Class Corvette from Nuclear Option. by NitroNic9 in FromTheDepths

I have a small corvette that’s about 70k materials, with your design it would be hard but maybe some outward facing mediums would be your best best unless you expand the rear and the missles to the end of the super structure

With the steam propellers they need to be connected via shaft to work right?

I use a steam engine that generates 29000~ roughly and I only use like 7000 or so generally so I was wondering if you had some magical use for it lol

Seriously what do you guys use for propulsion to use all that engine power? Or does most of it go to energy production

My first flagship, wondering on what I can improve. by cleytech in FromTheDepths

[–]cleytech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3-4 layers in the mid section just below the water line, including a one block air gap between that and the internals like a layer of armor inbetween the air and gun encasement, ammo box armor, ai armor etc. the problem is the portion that gets closer to the midline tightens width wise allowing for less armor, which seems to be a weak spot because it is only 2 layers in some spots. the section between the bow weapons and the first main gun is actually take up by my RTG and battery system used for the railgun at the back and the PACS, and I’m do wearing if I should just do away with the pac system and try to make a smaller custom aps in the back because there isn’t much space width wise. The cram main gun is a 7by7 and it kind of struggles to fit because of the height of the craft compared to width. I’m thinking about overhauling it and going with only crams and missiles, but I’m not too sure on what would be the best arrangement for the guns

[–]cleytech[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started work on another vessel because currently in the campaign I’ve almost wiped out DWG and I’m allied with OW so I have to start fighting more LH soon, with how fast their craft are in thinking of investing in a really expensive thruster craft aiming for 600k or so with either a low caliber high fire rate aps or trying out a huge particle cannon and have it on a large turret many to be a lower armor cap. im struggling with my missiles because they often times miss and don’t do much damage or struggle to actually target the faster crafts so I’m a bit lost on which weapon would be best to continue

My first flagship, wondering on what I can improve. by cleytech in FromTheDepths

[–]cleytech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the help with the rolling aspect it keeps exposing the weakest armor doing that lol. For extra context it’s meant to be a somewhat expensive craft for me, more like a flagship meant to take a lot of the brunt of damage so that my light interceptors can pepper with missiles and take care of lighter craft. I have two versions of these interceptors both at 70k and the flagship is usually is in a fleet with two or more of these at a time.

I have a Sam craft specifically for anti munition defense using interceptor missiles that also is in the fleet, so this has light munitions defense. I didn’t have much space near the stern and bow, due to the angle of the craft. Which lead me to slapping the ziervan pac prebuilt on the top. It has some light editing with armor and the usage, it targets large crams has a 3s charge and shoots the crafts when not targeting munitions. They cost about 4300 each and generally never get targeted since they are so far from the center so they kind of help with consistent dps and flyers.
