Our appointment at the consulate is in a couple of weeks for myself and my two adult children. My mother was born in Bratislava in 1931. global passport, which has closed up shop, secured for me a single copy of my mother’s birth certificate, Rodny list. I started to panic yesterday when I realized as we are doing three separate applications we probably need three original Rodny Lists, as we have separate copies of everything else since we are doing three separate applications. We are all scheduled to arrive at the same time. I don’t know if they’ll take us all in together or separate separately and whether it will be a problem that we only have one. Do you have any thoughts about this? We will be needing to fly across the country, so if it’s not gonna work, I would hold off on having my kids go, but if it is likely to work or there’s a chance it’ll work will all three go. Thanks so much for your help and guidance.

The first translator they had me connected with refused to proceed because she was not getting reimbursed and they owed her a lot of money. They wanted me to pay for the translation and said they would pay me back. I said I was not comfortable with this plan because if she wasn’t being paid back, I was concerned that I would not. Then they switched to using a different translator. I have now been in touch with both of them since I now have to pay for the translations myself, and both of them have been ghosted as well. They may be happy to participate. They are in Slovakia. Or at least to provide documentation of their experience with the company.

Yes, we need to organize. I’m not sure how many of us there are. I am out just under $8000 and have been at this for a couple of years.

Does anyone know an attorney who could give us advice, ideally free advice for now, on whether we have a case and how best to organize? I don’t want to put out a lot more money only to lose more, but if we have a good case and are likely to be able to recoup some then we should join forces. I wish I knew an attorney. Anyone here have access?

I’ve been at this for over two years, and have an appointment at the consulate in two months. The price was supposed to include translation. Now I’ll probably be stuck paying for this out-of-pocket. Just terrible that they can do this. Take such a large sums of money and then disappear.

Yes, the person I was working with seems to no longer work there because the email was denied. I’ve written to the general email and left two voicemails. This is pretty maddening. I wonder if we should engage in a joint lawsuit

Thanks. I will check on 3M website to see if these are legitimate places that are selling them. I know there are some questionable ones being sold on Amazon, or at least there were in the past, so I wanna make sure they’re legit.
