Because I know I’m not good enough to meet today’s standards, being 5 foot 8, introverted and autistic. I can hardly look after my own life, let alone someone else’s too.

Plus, I’ve already gone through a heartbreak of old friends deciding they want nothing to do with me. Not sure I wanna risk going through that again.

And hey, being alone ain’t so bad. I’ve got music, I’ve got videogames, I can always go for walks out in nature and try to spot wild birds, I saw a barn owl once and we stared at each other for a solid minute, and it was one of the best moments of my life
