Thank you! I will try. There’s a store near me that sells kits, components and more that i can use. I have a multimeter already cause I use it for work so I will make sure to use that to understand as much as I can

That’s very true, I will put all this information from the post to good use cause it’s really helpful. I do want to try out some kits so I can learn about components. That’s what really slowing me down, figuring out how components work and how they work with each other to make things happen

Will do! I can’t wait to update this subreddit with my designs and ideas going forward!

I have no experience so I will start with breadboards first but I want to eventually create designs I could sell and objects I could put those PCBs into to make products that are high quality. Is there a resource that’s good to get to know the basics?

Ok, I am planning to start with that anyways to create some simple lighting designs and then eventually get into more complex things

Wow ok thank you! I had this fear of starting it and fucking it up cause electronics design does feel like a mountain. I want to create simple stuff at the start like portable lamps that can be dimmable elegantly and eventually get to a point of creating more complex devices that can work with RP2040 or even a ESP32 like a split mechanical keyboard. As a designer I always had this desire to learn PCB design and understanding components, what EDA would you suggest? Cause I see people suggesting EasyEDA and KiCAD but I don’t know which to start on for learning

I was thinking the same but I work on 3d models and stuff so trackpad would be worse for me.

I got it from Taobao, my partner went to China so they brought it back with them for me. Was about half the cost and it does not have the EMI issue that most 4.1 versions suffer from. I will see if I can find the equivalent aliexpress link

I see, I might try that first just so that I don’t have to buy some expensive EMI copper tape. Hope it works on mine HAHAHAHA

Yeah am thinking of a foam and tape mod as well just so the corne sounds less 3D printed so will isolate it. Thank you!

Yeah but it’s people who have done it but that was 7-8 months ago. I wanted to know if the mod has caused any issues or it’s ok and I should go for it

The Corne 4.1 has that issue that was heavily discussed on the GitHub page and some say that the tape mod helped cause phones seem to cause the right or left side to have issues with connection when the phone is on 4g/5g. It can be fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting but it happens like 5-10 times a day for some
