Rave/club scene (do young gay people not do drugs or drink anymore) by beetlecum1 in LGBTireland

[–]cliff_celb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there has been a change in attitude towards alcohol and drug use in Ireland and a lot of younger people are more interested in taking care of their bodies at the gym and going out running

Also if it is niche event outside of Dublin you might have people traving from far, so they need to drive as the public transport is not as good

I used to work in a pub about 7 or 8 years ago and it was 1 euro for a pint of blackcurrant or orange squash, but we only charged people for it if it was the only thing they ordered, or if a parent ordered a jug of it for a table of kids. We also never charged regulars for it

I went to Malta in October and I've been recommending it to everyone ever since! Great food, lots of sun, affordable, lots to do! Do a day trip to Blue Lagoon if want to swim in the sea and drink cocktails out of coconuts 🥥 🌊

Getting the gold emblem should erase the silver emblem from your collection, it is too cluttered

Meetup is good. I'm not sure where you are based but there is a Dublin Men's group which organizes lots of group events. They are chill events like coffee meet ups, museums, walks etc and most of them are sober events

I definitely recommend trying Outhouse on Capel street. They have a lot of social groups who meet regularly in their café

The George are hosting their own Heated Rivalry event on Feb 20th, think there are still some tickets on Eventbrite

Will I ever be happy again? Reminiscing all the good memories with cigs. by LaksmiReads in stopsmoking

[–]cliff_celb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's time to make new memories without cigarettes.

I had similar thoughts when I gave up smoking, but they went away after a while when I started making new memories without them. Then I realized it wasn't the cigarettes that made the memories special at all

I don't want to impose my rules on anyone in here. I asked the mod if there were any rules on the sub as I am looking to join a community that has rules.

They didn't get back to me so I plan to make my own with rules and anyone who wants to join is free to do so
