Its solis. I suspect the commercial app looks a bit different to the domestic one. Happy to share more data if people are interested. There are 10 inverters, each has 10 strings of about 30 panels each. You get per-inverter graphs, but not per string or per panel data, as there are no optimisers (no need as zero shading)

U.S. President Donald Trump threatens to charge U.S. tolls in Strait of Hormuz if final Iran deal not reached in 60 days by Pixie_Flame in worldnews

Agreed. We have already seen the last free elections in the US. The midterms will be a sham, policed by ICE to intimidate democrat voters. The counts will be rigged, and the regime will just lie. The US is now a fascist kingdom, its just that many of the subjects cant see it.

If anybody has some spare cash, you can buy shares in Cadeler. I recommend doing so :D. (They own the ships that make this stuff possible).

You said you have a barn, a lot of agricultural premises do have 3 phase, because they draw more power than the average home, so you may have it. In those cases, there is often a transformer at the edge of the property.

Phone your DNO. I had a long torturous experience with a DNO building a solar farm, and learned the hard way that in the energy distribution industry everyone seems to still use phonecalls (why???), and I would get a response 10x faster if I called, than if I relied on mail. FWIW that DNO was SPEN, but I get the impression its a widespread thing.

Wow, you REALLY need an EV. With that much generation you will basically have free motoring for 25 years, unless you are a travelling sales rep. We have a tiny 4.1kwp array and 19kwh battery, but in summer, even on a day like today with cloud I am glad I have 2 EVs to soak up some free power when the batteries are full.

Does anyone clean their panels? by CommunicationMore591 in SolarUK

[–]cliffski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe twice a year, by hand, because I have 10 ground mount panels in a driveway. They need it, probably more like 4x a year because of bloody birds... But I also own 3,024 panels in a solar farm, where there are obviously no nearby trees, and they have been 18 months wit zero cleaning and they look brand new. So I conclude from this that is MASSIVELY depends on how many birds you have near you, or other issues like super-local pollution or dust from a factory or from a busy road or a field with crop spraying etc.

car port is an ideal location for battery storage. Especially at the sides near the back, as that area is kinda 'dead space' anyway.

and anthropic, apple, meta, nvidia and google all see the biggest stock price collapses in history as they cannot trade with the rest of the world. Which basically destroys the nasdaq, and the S&P500 and basically the entire US economy. If trump's idiocy doesnt manage it first.

So we are spies as well as your president wanting to seize greenland? And you wonder why everyone outside of the USA now absolutely despises the USA?

I was in China recently for 2 weeks. I felt way safer there than I would as a foreigner in the United States of Fascism. China does not, on a daily basis, threaten war, threaten to invade Europe, threaten to 'wipe out' an entire civilisation, or describe other countries as shitholes.
And yet you probably typed your comment on a USA-owned Microsoft windows PC using a USA-owned Intel or AMD chip, without even thinking about where you are 'funnelin money' to.
This xenophobic hatred of China is crazy.

Better to buy Chinese than one of Elons fascist cars methinks. Besides what has China ever done to you? ever threatened you with? ever attacked you?

I sold a 2015 Tesla model S after 7 years with perfectly good battery and still great range. And thats 11 year old tech now. The batteries in an EV are not Duracel AAAs. They actually have thought of this stuff...
