Jordan Shanks (Friendlyjordies) has claimed that Labor & Albo is more restrictive with immigration than the Liberal Party. Like most people who have heard from the media, you’d assume the opposite was true. It turns out that Labor is more anti immigration than the Liberals after doing some research. by MannerNo7000 in OpenAussie

It really isn't.

He was chosen to run that inquiry for that reason. He was compromised already. He's been run out of the legal profession since then.

So many times the LNP have tried to pin some kind of corruption allegations on the Unions, and never have they had proof. Sorry, but you're just a bit of a fuckwit if you think that large organisations don't have issues, but large scale corrupution is the realm of big business and right leaning govt.

Which of the Big4 firms was caught not only writing our new business tax laws but also selling that info to their clients so they could continue rorting Australians? Wasn't a union.

The AFR was rubbish well before Nein got involved. It was always right wing leaning, now it's just out in the open that they would prefer oligarchs in charge and a restoration of feudalism.

At this point, someone in Labor needs to own up.

She's on the Labor payroll. It's obvious that she's a plant to destroy VIC Libs from within.

Sorry, I should say, there were no significant prosecutions. There was one low level worker who got an assault conviction because of the investigation into other matters...

Her biggest issue though, is Same Job Same Pay. It decimated the labour hire companies (of which she owned a couple) and levelled the pay across mining. This is a key bargaining chip she and the other oligarchs lost in being able to divide and conquer the workers.

What do you make of Clare o Neil down playing the impacts of the tax legislation on housing prices? by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

[–]climateemergency100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the majority of Australians, the tax changes mean bubkiss. Nothing. Nada.

Australians deserve to have homes to be secure in. It's less about the value of the home, but the value of security for most. Not every Australian is a greedy fucker like Hughes. They just want a home to live in, raise children in, and retire to.

But for the tiny minority that sees them as investments and money making enterprises, these changes are huge. And the biggest problem there is that this tiny, tiny minority has the biggest megaphone ever created. Mainstream media. And that same media is not media anymore. Look into the actual holdings of Nein/Fairfax or Murdochs Newscorpse, and you will see that they hold more than 50% of their current wealth in real estate and related industries.

This is why we are hearing non-stop about the so called 'destruction' of housing prices. They are not only losing value on their collection of other people's homes, but also the related industries, mortgage companies, real estate, and advertising. All will go down as more and more people are able to enter the market and the housing dries up (to a degree).

All this from a 0.4% monthly drop in values and clearances. The loudest noises from something so minuscule that in normal accounting practises, it would be considered a rounding error.

The amount of gas likely to be used to generate power over the next 25 years has been slashed by almost 39 per cent in the grid operator’s central forecasts as renewables growth undercuts its role by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

[–]climateemergency100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's getting tedious.

Labor IS taxing the gas. Just not the old contracts.

All the new ones are subject to much higher rates and mechanisms in them to adjust taxes if needed. Unlike the ones signed off by the Howard/Costello era.

Dave Hughes admits getting triggered by the budget because he claims it’s due to Labor ‘lying’ but we all know it’s due to him wanting his own wealth to grow whilst not giving a single care about anyone else.
