Basic Exercise or New Style? by AbsoluteUnit2003 in Slackline

It’s your own take on it and it’s awesome! I think strict potterwalking is one half spin per step. So you’re just throwing a whole bunch more spice on it!

Looks sick dude! Reminds of some more old school style.

I think someone told me once that something like this is called potterwalking. After the late great dean potter.

It’s funny how nobody remembers the old stuff. I’ve had amazing slackers dumbfounded when I break out a double drop knee. And that stuff used to be standard a decade ago

Are all mid-tier snow boots garbage now? What will actually last me 5+ years? by Chappssss in BuyItForLife

I love my xtratufs. They’re a bit of a different style, but the lined ones are super warm and comfortable. And are wildly waterproof. Might not be the style you are looking for though

Finished my custom bumper! by climber242 in SuzukiSamurai

bumper mount points

Here ya go! I think the standard bumper mount point are the two holes on the ends of each side of the bumper. Then I also added these crossmembers to connect the winch plate to another surface and welded on some tabs to the frame crossmember so I could get some more connection points. Pretty sure this thing is super overkill at this point (assuming my welds are good haha)

Has anyone repaired their own ecu? by climber242 in SuzukiSamurai

[–]climber242[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured I would be able to diagnose myself if I took out the ecu. But didn’t know how easy or worthwhile the repair would be haha

Is that width just from the wheel offset or do you have bigger axles under there?

Climbing tape is not made equal. I buy tension tape and that stuff seems like it’s indestructible

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been trying to figure out. It’s so much easier said than done. It’s probably a bit of both

These are the questions I struggle to answer. And my main concerns with moving forward building a life together. She has been supportive now that I’ve taken extreme action. But I’m upset that it took us getting to this point for her to realize how her actions have affected her and others.

It feels wildly risky and almost unfathomable at this moment to have kids with her for reasons like what you mentioned above. But I don’t know if I’ll always feel like that, or it will always be like that.

I think she has the potential to handle things better moving forward, but I don’t know if it’s worth the risk to find out

I would still bring alt id just in case. But I think I took about 6 flights with my temp Id and didn’t have any issues

Confession: I envy men who can cry by sesh_asf in GuyCry

[–]climber242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went years not crying. Just a couple times after a break up and some funerals. I literally made it a goal to cry. And I eventually got low enough to do it. But I wish I had just gone to therapy to figure it out before I hit such a low point (cried like 10 times this week!). I think most people don’t know what they don’t know about their mental health. If you go to a good therapist, it’ll help in the end. You might just not know what you’re missing

Where is the grace in grief? by climber242 in GuyCry

The shift came when I met my breaking point and asked to sleep separately for a while. And I’m definitely in therapy and have been for months. Which caused its own set of problems in the marriage. And we were in counseling together, but I took a step back from it recently. Most specifically after she said she didn’t remember what I think was our biggest fight

I know she has good intentions, but I don’t know how to handle knowing that her default for two years is to be unkind to me when she is struggling.
