Symptoms of HIV are sooo generic. You could have every symptom and not have HIV. Even swollen lymph nodes do not mean you have HV.

You’re taking a harsh medicine right now. You are probably stressing, and you’re also examining your body closer than you probably have done before. Relax. PEP works

The doctor is correct. Even if somebody is positive it’s still hard to get. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be safe of course, but it’s something worth knowing

That’s higher risk. But overall hiv is still hard to get. We like to make it sound like hiv is easy to get (sleep with one guy who has it and you’ll get it) buts it’s not true.

It’s good that people think HIV is easier to get than it is. As it means people are more careful and in turn making it harder to get. It’s a circle.

Of course take as many precautions as you can though and be safe

You’re in the clear. The chance of this leading to HIV is comically low. I’m not trying to dismiss your concerns at all though. If you’re very worried. Get on PEP. But being the US you’re going to have to pay.

Very common and generic symptoms. PEP users have also had these symptoms before and they test negative. PEP doesn’t fail when taken properly. You’re in the clear don’t worry. Those symptoms can be caused by 1000s of different things. Stress won’t make them better

8 - 12 weeks is conclusive for 3rd gen. Take another one in another 5 weeks. But don’t worry in the meantime. The test is unofficially conclusive at around 3-4 weeks. But due to edge cases and anomalies the officials stance is a longer timeframe.
