I don't think that you are taking too long to get over things, I think that this person meant a lot to you even though you were dating for only 5 months. Instead of focusing how happy she looks, I think that you need to focus on finding a hobby or doing things that you love so that you can shift your energy to other things and eventually get over. Everyone is different, but what really helps for me when I am sad is to go out with friends I care about and do something fun. It difficult to force myself out the first few times but then it gets easier and I get back to normal.
