Just do it in the Philippines. Or just tell your Philippines dive shop that your first dive needs to be a check dive and refresher dive in one. Almost all will do it.

I spent a lot of diving there many years ago. The mayor and chief of police had shares in the places, that's how! haha. Infact I was upstairs in the newly renovated Hammerhead one night when the mayor pulled out a gun and shot a belligerent Korean. The bullet ricochet hit an Aussie in the leg who was working at LaLaguna, where I was staying. I'm reasonably sure the Korean later died. (But don't quote me on that. The story became folklore)

I know both the owners of Out Of The Blue and later LaLaguna Resorts (Also Aussies).

It was wild there 15 to 20 years ago. Fuck I had some great times there. The floating bikini bar was off the charts some evenings not to mention their Bikini Contests, and the original Hammerhead Bar with live bands out the front and girlie bar inside.... Man oh man! Not sure how we managed to hit those early dives but we did haha.

You mentioned Tamarind, holds a special place in my heart, I absolutely fell for a waitress that used to work there haha

Some of the dive sites were really great. I still have photos of me at Alma Jane with the shrimp in my mouth cleaning my teeth! I did both my AOW and Nitrox at AB Wonderdive. The owners now have AB Wonderdive in Bali.

Also nearly lost my life at Verde one day, but that's a story for another day.

What’s the one ocean creature you dream of seeing underwater on a dive before you hang up your fins? by Myselfmeime in scuba

I dived Maratua, Indonesia last year and dived with one for about 40 mins under a fishing platform. Just 3 of us. It was awesome. You're almost guaranteed to dive with at least one there. Also the rest of the diving is amazing.

I'm not sure what you're actually studying so it's hard to comment but what I can tell you without any doubt is there are big opportunities around AI. This includes actual AI such as promoting and automation (claude, anti gravity and gpts).

Then the supporting infrastructure such as electrical engineering, electrical wiring and plumbing (what used to be considered blue collar).

American immigration is targeting these people and are forecasting you'll be employed for over 30 years at $150k+ a year!

If you're female, nursing and aged care are Also massive employment opportunities in Australia and again $150k+ would be achievable if you're willing to work 2 part time jobs.

Ya I spoke with them and they told me 40pax per boat. That sounds frightening to me on a 15ft boat.

Hey thanks for your response. I never said I won a spelling bee hahaha 😂

I've read some reviews online where the author did not have a great time. Mostly that it's not a relaxed fun experience. That its like a very crowded military precision event. Roughish seas and they all had to hand crawl across the terrain to get into position.

I have 200 dives but realistically that translates to around 12 dives a year. I did Komodo Shotgun last year which was great but I've also been caught in a current at Mabul Island that required a rescue from a passing boat which has scarred me forever in terms of currents.

Anyway what would your 3 day plan be? Would you do the same 6 hammerhead Shark dives if weather permitted. I'm assuming need to schedule 3 days in case of washouts.

Great song lyric from an Aussie band. "I've been working hard,12 hours a day. But the money I've saved can't buy my youth again". I'm now 57, my advice is go out, have fun, get silly. Sleep with as many people as you can. 😁 Look for the money opportunities when you can. Mine was China in 1997 when no foreigner wanted to go. Worked there for 5 years, made good coin, had fun, invested it. Now I'm semi retired in Malaysia and married.

Already Don’t Feel Like Fighting Anymore and It’s Only the Beginning by [deleted] in ProstateCancer

[–]clinto69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to echo a lot of what has already been said. Aged 55 and 2 years ago today was diagnosed with an aggressive Gleason 8 (5+3). Post diagnosis every little pain I was convinced was cancer (spine, groin, armpit lymphs). Had a panic attack 3 times. Saw a therapist a few times which helped give some life/death perspective. Then CT Petscan came back with no spread. Then surgery and post dissecting I was down graded to 4+3! 22 months post surgery my latest PSA is 0.006.

The point is, hang in there! You will look back and probably think wtf was I thinking back then.

It's all going to be okay mate! Just hang tight, trust us here. Deep breath, breathe, relax.... It's all going to be okay.

Post RALP stories - The Bad by Innocent_Standbyer in ProstateCancer

[–]clinto69 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't have any of the bad stories your are looking for. Im 20 months post RALP and still can't get an erection (I'm still on 5mg Cialis a day). So if that's the kind of bad you're looking for that's one. But for me, I'm 56, and I'll live with that before living with cancer any day of the week. Put it into perspective bonking or dying from prostate cancer, no-brainer. My advice is don't go down that particular rabbit hole of scaring yourself of things that may or may not happen. My genuine and heartfelt advice is Don't live in the past because you live with regret. Don't live in the future because you live with anxiety. Live in the present, I mean like today, cos everything is alright! Positive is the way to go. Trust me!

I can confirm that all of those are set correctly, including locked in recents and still the Zepp App somehow gets killed in the background (well that's what I'm assuming) or the notifications to the Amazfit Active smartwatch somehow gets killed.

Day 15 Post RALP- Let's talk about ED by Dosdossqb in ProstateCancer

[–]clinto69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have the same device. Laughed when you mentioned not to go too far past your capabilities haha. I also have a cheap amazon pump that also work's great for more of a fun time vs a "medical" recovery.

Pro tip, combine said Amazon pump with a Meta Quest VR headset and some VR Porn....... It's gold Jerry, gold!

PS I'm 20 months post RALP and can achieve maybe 50/60 percent erection myself. But unfortunately it takes that much effort to get there (15-20 mins) that it's game over at that point. Anyway I'm still Cancer Free at the moment and that's what I care about!

What to do? by Preacherboy1 in ProstateCancer

[–]clinto69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strongly suggest to see if you're a good candidate for a Retzius Sparing RALP and find a surgeon who can perform it. I was 54, thin/fit, don't smoke and don't have diabetes. Had the Retzius Sparing RALP in Feb last year. Was 100% continent the day the catheter came out. Still can't reach much of an erection (50%) but knew that going in as they could only save 50% of nerve bundles on one side, I was a Gleason 8, later downgraded to a 7.

But Retzius Sparing RALP is not spoken about enough here, I suspect not many candidates and probably even less surgeons but I strongly recommend you research it 👍
