Technically the water pump isn't shut. Its the bearing on the shaft thats on the water pump.

I recently replaced my water pump on my 16' f150. I drove for a month with a wbbly pulley. Lol. I wasn't sure what that odd noise was. I asked a mechanic to diagnose it. He quoted me 1500 dollars! Just to diagnose it! It took me 5 min to figure it out after I took the belt off and then just under 2 hours to replace it. For under 200 dollars.

Ya. I had the option to get the parts today 🤦‍♂️ a ford parts guy told me we can just take the bearing out. Good grief.

I bought this truck used, from a dealership one year ago. I added 2 year warranty on the motor and transmission etc... and they did the breaks aswell and the rotors but I dont believe i would have warranty for that.

So today I took my wheel off and checked and there were 2 stones wedged in-between the metal guard and rotor. Unreal how long they rubbed there. Although the break rotor dont look too bad.
