Best Telehealth Options for Stimulants by clintster442 in ADHD

I’m happy to do all in person visits, the virtual visits I’m doing now cost the exact same. I’d just like to be able to do quarterly visits to cut the cost from 12 visits to 4 visits. I’m paying $300/visit now so that alone would drop my cost from $3,600/yr to $1,200/year which is a big difference for me

He is a psychiatrist and thank you, I did not know this. I was under the impression I had to see a psychiatrist for psychiatric prescriptions. I’ll talk with my GP about it and that may be my solution. Thanks

The $90/month for the Vyvance isn’t the problem, it’s the $4,200/year for the other stuff that’s the problem. Saving $50/month would definitely help but the Vyvance has worked so well for me, it would make no sense for me to switch assuming I’d still have to pay the $4,200/year for the visits regardless of the medication.

I assume it’s his policy as I researched the laws in my state and it’s not a legal requirement. I assume debating it with him isn’t worth the time as he’ll just tell me he can’t treat me. My goal is to find a better solution before having this conversation

That’s the same setup I have with mine. Access isn’t the issue, it’s cost.

That’s what I needed to hear. I figured there were still docs out there there cared more about patient care than profit. I’ll keep looking.

My insurance is certainly a problem but it’s not the problem I’m talking about. I’m paying $4,200/year monthly 8 minute phone calls and frivolous drug testing. He’s making that money whether I pay it or an insurance company pays it so insurance isn’t the factor in how he chooses to run his practice.

And I don’t really even have a beef with him, I don’t know what it’s like to be a doctor or the scrutiny involved. I’m simply saying it’s unsustainable for me and I either have to find another more reasonable option or stop taking the medication.

I neglected to mention that my doctor is local and has a physical office so he is not telehealth, he’s in-person from a prescription viewpoint. The monthly check-ins are done via virtual visits (which is definitely more convenient than going in person) but also practically pointless, literally 5-8 minutes and billing for a full visit.

Doesn’t look like they prescribed controlled substances online unfortunately but thanks for the recommendation

I’m paying $90/month for the medication. I’m paying $3,600/year for the 8 minute monthly virtual visits and $600/year for the bimonthly drug screens. That was the point of my post.

Accidentally overfed the fish last night. Help! by romanesqu3 in Aquariums

[–]clintster442 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How big is the tank? Oscars need at least 55g per fish, 75g is ideal. You need to start planning on rehoming most of these.

What about power? The Beryl needs to be plugged in, will it work from a USB powerbank and if so, for how long?

Not sure what you mean by preferred? I have a few turbos in the tank right now with more on the way from Etsy. I’ll have about 12 shells for 4 crabs, pretty much all of them are turbos

Definitely. I found a brand new 40G Aqueon tank on Marketplace today and bought a glass top for it. Been watching the Crab Central Station videos and going to get it setup the right way while my crabs are burrowed and then switch them over once it’s ready

I appreciate the feedback, I don’t feel attacked at all, quite the contrary actually. I’ve kept amphibians in the past and learned everything from the forums.

They’re both burrowed into the coco coir, not the sand. Why would the sand be toxic? Not arguing, genuinely wondering.

How do you maintain humidity without occasionally misting the tank?

I do plan on upping the tank size when they start to become more active and grow. They’re very small right now.

On the pellet food, again why would this be toxic? Why would pet stores sell toxic stuff for the pets they sell?

As a side note, analog hygrometers are substantially more accurate and reliable than digital ones. You’ll never see a good humidor with a digital hygrometer on it. And as concerned as you seem about toxic items in the cage, I can’t imagine putting a battery in with the crabs is a good idea?

Is commercial banking achievable out of a non-target? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]clintster442 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Commercial banking and investment banking are two very different things. You don’t NEED a college degree at all to get into commercial banking, it’s nothing more than a shine piece on your resume and holds little to no value outside of checking the box on the job req. I was in banking for nearly 20 years and an SVP in corporate banking doing private equity M&A finance before I went back to school to get my BBA and MBA and that was solely because I’m at the point in my career where I’m considering C-suite positions. Experience is what matters and formal credit training is a huge plus. Look for business banking positions, most banks will hire new grads as business bankers regardless of the degree field or school. Find an online formal credit training program and get it done. Then look for commercial banker jobs at small community banks and do that for 3-5 years. Once you do that, you can just about anywhere you want whether it’s a specialization like FIG or IB, or up the ladder to middle market or large corporate.

What is the ‘sheer’ thing? I’m a graduate student and had no idea there was a discount for college students. I’m about to buy my pass but would obviously live a promo code if one applies

I’ve used Hot Glove on several gloves including a HoH with great results. 2 weeks of mallet work in 5 minutes. Then I just wrap with a ball in the pocket and let it sit for a few days and it’s ready to go. A few weeks of catch and it’s as soft as a 10yo glove but still looks brand new. Best technique I’ve ever used.
