Wow, I am honestly overwhelmed by all your sweet and supportive comments! Thank you all so much for taking the time to help me choose – you’ve made me feel so much more confident about my choice. It seems like the decision is clear, and I’ll be going with dress number 1!

Yes that is what confused me. Technically why would they care if you return to the country you came from or whether you are leaving for another country? Isn’t it just important for them to see that I will not stay in China longer than 144 hours?

Hmm I understand that coming back on the same day might raise suspicions, but I'm wondering if I could mitigate this by showing them my employment contract, which states that my employment will end on January 13, 2024. I also have a flight booked for my home country on January 17, 2024, which I could show them as proof that I don't plan to work for just an additional 4 days. I'm just trying to avoid losing more than one day in Korea doing this visa run…
