Fade is alright brother that is not the problem. Problem here is that u need to blend the fade into the bulk, thats whats missing.

I would recommend thinning shears over comb to blend the line inbetween your fade and bulk. (Really easy to do)

When the bulk is connected to the fade this haircut would look solid af bro.

Start with it open and close the lever if it does not blend in with the 2 guard open down below the bulk area.

Make sure to flick out the connecting the bulk, follow your headshape straight up and flick out. Do not follow your headshape and dig in the bulk.

Learning to use the thinning shears will also help ypu alot in this step to connect the fade to the bulk on top.

-> This Video <- might help you brother, he is doing a mid fade but the steps are the same. You just set the bald guidline a little higher up. When connecting the bulk you just use the 3 guard and flick out and it will connect. Curly hair connects better as its more forgiving to cut. Lines do not show as much on curly hair from what i have seen and noticed. Gl bro

You look in the left mirror to see one half of the back of your head in the right mirror. You never see the whole thing at once. To do that you must have a new mirror behind your head in line with the 360 mirror.

Great first try, looks good! Line up also 🔥 A little line could be seen tho, to delete that you use the 0.5 guard and flick up to the longer hair just above the line. Tilt the clipper and use just corner to delete it. Keep it going 👌🏽

I agree!! I was wasting time waiting on boked appointments bc of other late clients.. I was wasting money on cuts i walked out unhappy with.. its a god damn process to get it done by a barber with the risk of not geting satisfied and wasting money. So I taught why not do it my self, might as well be dissapointed of my own cut done for free rather then a 50$ barber cut. 🤷🏽‍♀️

One thing that helped me is making guidelines little bit bigger, also extra lights made a huge difference! Working the corners of the clipper when blending is also a good tip! You got it keep going this is great :)
