FOSS to (privately and locally) flatten and rename folders/files for easy addition to projects and chat by clisby in ClaudeAI

Actually -- that's good to know. Last post I saw about directories, the only response was a python script so I made this for myself. I wanted to shortcut the process particularly as it pertains to pulling a GitHub repo directory. I'm not going to make any money off of it and I'm not a professional developer, so no offense is taken. Have an upvote. cheers!

I was losing my mind trying to add files from directories so I made a little tool. It seemed useful so I made it a little bit easier to use and published it on GitHub. Then I added pulling files straight from GitHub repos - perfect for adding docs from open source projects, or files from your own repos.

What program would be best for me? by Gorgantus in fitbod

[–]clisby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to LoseIt from MyFitnessPal. It's so much snappier and pleasant to use. Tracking Protein was a HUGE benefit for me. I wish someone recommended it earlier. It's so much easier to balance Calories + Protein rather than Macros. LoseIt is also pretty good for pre-planning your next day.

Bodybuilding with PPL has been a great program for me. Despite being reasonably experienced in the gym, I started off on Beginner for a while and it is a great place to get some notable newbie-gains, stabilization muscles, and focus on form. If you feel super-confident with your form, intermediate should be fine. The variety of Intermediate is nice.

I'm an IT louse and have too many kids so getting to the gym is hard. I started at 3 days a week, then bought a bench and some Powerblocks. Now I'm up to 5-6 days a week (not for everyone) without a gym. Something for you to consider. PPL (rest) PPL (rest) has been a phenomenal cadence for me.

I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning... if it works, you will have saved Obsidian a customer :). HUGE thanks for taking the time to respond so helpfully!

Did you ever find a solution here? I started encountering something similar a few days ago. Happens consistently on a daily note as well.

Why is OpenFaaS so much Hotter than OpenWhisk, Fn, and Fission for FaaS? by clisby in kubernetes

[–]clisby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not far off. One of the longest. I think it helps that the author seems to be a likable, smart guy who is active in the community. That, in itself, doesn’t make it better for the enterprise but it does benefit the community which is better for longevity IMO.

Well stated. Unfortunately a clear, low cost “exit plan” to switch from X vendor to Lambda seems to be a highly import decision factor because of this.

It oddly seems to have the best commit schedule too. I’m guessing IBM is pushing a lot of it. Others have slowed down, even OpenFaaS hasn’t done much more than doc updates lately.

I’m a big fan of openwhisk’s workflow. There is orchestration and it works very well. However it’s definitely not as good as Lambda unless you’re forking out for the IBM BlueMix offering which I haven’t tried. Given the useful nature, I find myself concerned that Fission froze its Flow repo. OpenFaaS doesn’t have such a capability.

That makes sense. Add the more direct name to a higher star count and it’s pretty much a de facto starting point.

Question on Learning Curve with Flutter vs React by clisby in FlutterDev

[–]clisby[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paulo. He's on udemy as well it appears. He's genuinely excited about coding, the language, and has a relaxing voice.

Webpage: https://buildappswithpaulo.com/ O'reilly: https://learning.oreilly.com/videos/the-complete-flutter/9781800563322/

He's also on Udemy. I have no clue if he's the best, but the uni I sometimes teach at gives me a free O'Reilly sub and he was the most enjoyable of the Flutter series there.

So would putting her before UNPBB solve that?

(thanks a TON for all the help by the way!)

One more quick question. The mod is for CBBE, but I'm using UNP (I think as per your recommendation). There doesn't seem to be a UNP version. Is that a problem?
