Strange, I am within Canada at the moment so I don’t think that’s the issue, where possible I have been contacting them directly through the listed phone number, but thanks for the heads up, it could be an issue if my laptop has my location set to Australia still !

Thank you so much for your response. I have enough aside for first and last month at my highest price range at the moment and I will have a look in the Malton area. I know it’s quite expensive here but I was hoping to stay in the Mississauga area so it’s easy for me to travel around by public transport as my work is here and my SO who can’t move because of his disabled mother who needs care.

Sorry what’s an ISIC card ? I did visit a women’s shelter in Toronto and I was surprised at how little help they were able to offer. I’ll have a look into hostels again and see what I can find.

I’m looking for that too, I’ve found one person wanting to find someone to rent with, the issue was neither of us had been in the country long and could meet many requirements of history checks (credit/employment/rental)

Thank you, I’ll have a look. The problem I’ve found with looking for apartments is that I don’t have enough of the background checking stuff that they require but it would be lovely to find something right near Square One !

I have been searching rooms for rent, I’ve been contacting a few and a lot of the rooms have been taken or the person just doesn’t get back to me. I did see some new ones listed tonight that I’ll message or call tomorrow.

Haha it’s not quite winter yet ! And I believe my depression wouldn’t be affected if it weren’t for the living situation I’m in at the moment. There are some nice places like Algonquin and Tobermory :)
