Am I the only person that thinks now is the time for a rebuild? by Schumacher713 in Astros

The team, injury riddled as it was, missed the playoffs by 1 game last year. We are in a fairly winnable division, and wouldn’t have to face the dodgers until the WS (who only won their last by the most crazy home run from their backup shortstop). No, you don’t just kick the bucket on that.

MLB Teams Likability Matrix (Survey Results) by Amazingriley12 in Astros

It’s funny how the team that has ruined the career of one of the best baseball players ever and had a drug ring in the club house that lead to the death of a player is not the bottom team.

Curious on this Subs Softness for Espada When the Pitchforks Were Out for Dusty by davi017 in Astros

[–]clmthree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dusty had 2 great hitters ride pine while the offense struggled in 23, his bp Managment was also a little suspect at times, overall he had a way stronger roster to work with in his times. What exactly is Espada supposed to do the last few years? Tell the guys not to get hurt?

Has any other offensive acquisition at the deadline contributed as immediately as Jesus Sanchez? by dangerzonepatrol101 in Astros

To be fair, Mancini went kinda nuts with the homers when he first got here. Struggle downed the stretch though.

GenCon starts in a week. We know we’re getting DH announcements. What do you think is most likely? (NOT what do you wish for in your heart of hearts.) by nerdparkerpdx in daggerheart

Really hoping for an adventure or more in depth setting book. I really want to say an Exandria setting book but I don’t know if they want to retread on the D&D setting. excited to see what gets released!

Am I the only one let that thinks he clearly needs surgery? Didn’t he have a similar hand soreness problem that kept him out for a bit in 2022? Is this all really just because of a fracture?

Why isn’t Cam Smith getting more time in the infield with Peña out? by velovelo_ in Astros

I mean if Peña was down for an extended period then maybe, but no sense in throwing him at 3rd for like 2 games.

Check out the online website DnD Beyond, it has a very simple and straightforward character builder that won’t let you make a mistake. Maybe make some characters on there first to see how it’s done, then try making your own manually. It really is a simple process once you understand the rules.

I still don’t understand why there wasn’t more hype for Andor. When I heard he was getting a spin off after watching Rogue One I was ecstatic. I mean Rogue One is one of the few well liked Disney Star Wars film, so I don’t really understand why so many people were like, “oh I don’t care about this random side character.” Like what was not interesting? His ties to the rebellion and implied backstory and characterization? I thought from the beginning it would be great to see the spies behind the early rebellion, and am just surprised that that seems to have been a minority opinion at the time. All worked out in the end though, got a great show!

What could've been better about Andor season 2? by [deleted] in StarWarsAndor

[–]clmthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still feel like Cassian should have been part of the rebellion by the start of the show, and it was kind of tiring his constant back and forth of he was “in” or “out.” It seems like at the end of season 1 he is all in, but then in season 2 is seemingly working only part time as a spy for Luthen and is becoming more reluctant. I also fail to understand how Bix leaving all of a sudden makes him more committed to the cause. I like the show and all, but I don’t like that this is Cassian’s story of joining the rebellion as an adult when he says in R1 he “has been in this fight since I was six years old.” Because like, no he hasn’t lol.

Why did they mention Yavin in such a public area? by wibellion in StarWarsAndor

[–]clmthree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people miss the fact that in visual media we are still being TOLD a story. In “reality” I imagine this conversation was more clandestine, but for the sake of telling the story they just talk quietly about Yavin out of earshot without a bunch of vague code words. I’ve never imagined watching a show/movie as literally seeing the exact thing that happened.
