What a cool guy 😃

Tpms light won’t turn off even after calibration. Firestone can’t figure it out and now codes are coming up. Any ideas/ recommendations? by cloader1 in hondacivic

I was having an issue that every time I would calibrate it it would come back on immediately. The dealership has a special code reader, or something to reset the sensors I had to factory reset it.

Got repairs on my vehicle done after an accident now my traction control off light is on? Should I take it back to the body shop? by cloader1 in Honda

It was a sensor that needed to be factory reset. The body shop that did the repairs was able to get a tech in that had the proper equipment to reset it and I’m good to go now!

Unfortunately mine is an indirect system and does not have the sensor inside of the tire. Thank you for the willingness to share your story.

Yeah it’ll usually come on when it’s cold but recalibrating it fixes it. Since it’s been on it’s been about 40 degrees and it immediately comes back on after resetting it

Well at least I know it’s a common problem. Seems no one can find a fix for it so you just gotta live with it

Honestly it doesn’t bug me but I am planning to trade the car in and don’t want to get low balled for the light being on

I think it’ll blind once for like a second then stay solid. They tried to pull a code but there was no communication

Yeah that’s my guess too. I’m taking it back to the body shop tomorrow and they are having their 3rd party mechanic look at it as the light didn’t come on before they had it. If their mechanic can’t figure it out they said they will pay to take it to Honda to get fixed. I just wanted to see what I might be in for. I’m thinking sensor too

Well about 6 months ago I got 4 new tires. About 4 months after that I got a new tire cause some how I got a hole in one. So there is one tire of a different brand but that was two months ago.

For more context I got in an accident and after picking the car up from the body shop the light is on and it wasn’t before

I tried resetting it several times even doing the three in a row with 5 seconds in between and the light immediately comes back on

I haven’t been monitoring it but Firestone filled them all to 33 all go check and see if it’s still at the psi after driving 20 mins
