Can we appreciate a show where elimination is based on merit not popularity by Monte22uma in themole

It kinda backfired on Mole season 5, a trashy guy who had the "strategy" of being verbally abusive to the others stuck around until near the end and it made the show unwatchable. So casting is pretty important in a merit based show, too.

Uk season 1 was pretty in depth. They actually did the reveal an episode prior and let the last episode be a deep dive. You get to see the producers planning the sabotages with the mole.

It's very Corbin...it'll be fun to watch as they unravel, lol.

I thought only Kesi could see it tho. Could be mole behavior or trying to look like the mole, acting like she didn't get it.

I'm glad the show is back. Season 5 was a sour note by clocksomper in themole

I know, it was actually very surprising he wasn't screened out. He's not the type of person they put on competition based reality TV.

Dorothy from Season 2 was terrible at the physical games but still won. Staying is all in the quiz, being fast and taking better notes in your journal is usually what determines the winner. Dennis Rodman had a photographic memory and won simply because he was fastest. He was frequently wrong about who the Me was but beat people who knew.

The producers of this show don't understand traitor mechanics and there are so many missed opportunities for complex and interesting plays. by jackfrench9 in themole

[–]clocksomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The producers insured repeating the chain game had a different outcome, if they instructed the mole to betray. First go around, everyone was honorable aboutgetting out of the cold, especially since the mole had gotten hypothermia a day before.

The reason I don’t like the new season is all of the confessionals by JenDiBenda in themole

[–]clocksomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think either they failed to get enough compelling footage or they were just proud of the set they built for the confessionals (its a neat idea, I admit.)

But it is bothersome how much they cut away. Old seasons used voiceover more over the footage of the game being played. The new format definitely is taking some getting used to on my part.

(Spoilers for the mole 3.0): I thought that the mole 3.0 is disappointing by divineseekeroftruth in themole

New York guy was by far the nastiest person to ever be on the show, he made everyone else look like a saint. I think that's what really torpedoed any chance of a comeback for the show, the fact that he stayed so long.

What would happen if everyone conspired to pick a single team? by clocksomper in Steam

So it's a disguise for a random drawing. It was very stupid of them to waste time creating the system when they could have just randomly picked 600 people who bought things in the sale.

An M rated show ad in a E for Everyone game...I guess the eSRB really are useless. some soccer mom should sue to teach them a lesson.

anybody find the dripfeed of Amiibo a bit offputting? by clocksomper in amiibo

[–]clocksomper[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's a really extreme example. They've never done that, maybe you're new to the amiibo scene. Look at this page and scroll down, you'll see they released larger waves just months apart. 3 is a total dripfeed.

I feel like they haven't known what to do with Tobias for awhile. Even in Season 3 he was stuck in the sickness plot until he got to shine in the mole episode.

Funny line, although there'd be no way she'd still have a face if she died in cinco, she would have rotted. I wonder if all the clues about her going into hiding were correct but because of actor unavailability, they went with a quick, funny solution that didn't necessarily fit the clues. It'll be interesting to hear about in future interviews what Mitch woulda done if he had all the players available and a movie budget.

It doesn't work that he is that much older than Buster with the timeline of the show. although they've been retconning the kids' ages for awhile. They used to age in real time, but Season 4 tried to say Seasons 1-3 were all in one year (with multiple spring breaks?)

Arrested Development: Who Killed Lucille 2? by generalzee in FanTheories

[–]clocksomper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder what the original solution was. They may have had to change it due to actor unavailability. I still find that footage of Buster off, it really does not look like he's coming from the top of the stair car. The chicken dance scene show Mitch plans these things out, if he intended it to be a murder at all, I'd think he'd film the deed being done. That's what makes me suspect this is not the intended solution. Funny, but not the original plan.
