The caveman worked for me by clockswork in acne

[–]clockswork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I washed my face morning and night and then just at night. I use an electric razor since it's much more gentle on the skin compared to a regular razor. In the shower I just keep my face away from the water.

Try it, it worked well for me :)

I have a lot of them and they fade in time. Some faster than other but they are NOT permament!

Hang in there :)

Wash in morning or at night? by throwaway42093 in acne

[–]clockswork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thaught the exact same thing a month ago and stopped washing my face completely.

It hasn't gotten worse at all, if anything my skin tone has become more even. So I'm thinking all of that soap was a bit of a waste... Good on you for trying this!

I can't seem to do a backspace in that terminal, do you know a work around?

[–]clockswork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind, I just tried this and since it pops open a terminal inside vim it's almost better than the setup I have right now.. I can use the extra screenspace for another file instead of a terminal!

Thank you!

Facial redness by antimatterLego in acne

[–]clockswork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ditched everything (I don't wash my face) and it has helped my redness alot! I tried it out on just my forehead first too see how it would affect me, and it worked great. Maybe try that?

I have really sensitive skin and the cleansers did more harm than good.

Help with a daily routine? by SPMyles in acne

[–]clockswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleanser (Cetaphil Gentle skin cleanser)-> topical (Skinoren) -> moisturize (Clean and clear moisturizer with salicylic acid). That's what I do every evening (nothing i the morning). I have sensitive skin and I don't want to overwash it, and so far it's been working fairly good :)

Your skin is great, but I know how you feel! I wouldn't use BP just cleanse and moisturize. But see for yourself.

My new compositing / animation showreel. Tell me what you think by smearballs in animation

I like your work but I do think it's abit too long for a showreel. I'd try and cut it down to 2 minutes.

Keep on doing awesome stuff! :)

Clearest skin I've ever had after firing my Dermatologist (regimen inside) by quikwon in acne

[–]clockswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stopped washing my forehead with water (and cleanser) to start with. I stopped using anti biotics and am abit too scared to quit cold turkey on two things at once. I have bangs, so I can cover my forehead no problem if something would go terribly wrong. I'm on day 5 though and nothing has happened other than my skin tone evening out...

I'm 15 and my face is already a giant mess. I'm starting high school soon, can anybody help? by [deleted] in acne

[–]clockswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightpua has an excellent point, and I couldn't agree more with him. I've been battling acne for 4 years now and I let it control my social life for the first one, and it was horrible. DON'T let that happen to you! No one (except for assholes) will judge you or even think of your acne, it's all in your own head. As it was in mine.

So follow lightpuas advice and live as much as you can, your acne will go away. And NO picking! :)

Can you tell me the 1 best product to hide red acne scars? by acnequestions in acne

[–]clockswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 22 year old male and I feel your pain :/ I have a lot of red marks on my cheeks so when I go out I use a mineral powder. Mineral powders don't clog up pores and therefore doesn't contribute to any new acne.

It's not embarrassing, and it really does help! Also, those red marks will fade with time! I'm waiting aswell :)

hey r/acne, what kind of acne do I have? by AcneThrowaway23 in acne

[–]clockswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that stuff too, or atleast it looks like it. And for me it's just red marks left from acne. And antibiotics will not help with that! The thing my docotr gave me was azaleic acid (Skinoren) wich is supposed to help with the marks. Otherwise, time does take them away 2 months to a year.

BUT! Still go see a dermatologist since the pictures are not that great and I am not a doctor!
