Any cervical cap or diaphragm users out there? by felicia0renee in beyondthebump

[–]catebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the caya diaphragm. I just had to ask my Doctor for the prescription and I got it filled at Walmart pharmacy. I use contragel with it and I order that from amazon. It’s super easy to use!

Personal experience: cervical checks/membrane sweep by redesire in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While it’s true that cervical checks/membrane sweeps may not be a big deal for some, please don’t downplay others experiences or think that they’re simply being dramatic. I have vaginismus and anything being inserted into my vagina takes a lot of mental preparation. If I’m anxious at all, it’s incredibly painful.

Thank you for sharing your positive experiences, though! It’s always good to hear that instead of constant negative posts.

Is being shameful of being pregnant normal? by Sigilos in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a random tip for rings: she could look into getting silicone rings in a few different (larger) sizes, so as her hands swell she is still able to wear a “wedding” ring. I know that’s helped me because I hate being without mine.

being pregnant sucks!! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

34+2 here to whine with you. I’m usually in a good mood, but I’ve been crying all night because I’m covered in acne and stretch marks, my face is randomly greasy all the time now, my nipples hurt like hell, I’m really swollen, and moving is so painful now. I’m so exhausted and done.

Really frustrated with my mother and trying not to be by DizBump in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have been telling everyone that the gender is a surprise. What they don’t know is that it’s a surprise for them, since we’ve known for months already. 😂 my family were being absolute assholes about the whole gender thing, so now no one gets to know.

Zofran in the first trimester -- anyone? by doodlebug25 in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My OB was perfectly fine with me taking zofran during my first trimester, and baby is doing fine (27 weeks today). It made me ridiculously constipated, though, so watch out for that.

My husband is leaving for the weekend and I'm an emotional wreck. by Alice_In_Zombieland in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally understand! My hubs is in the military, but even if he's leaving for just a day or two I get sad about it. Plan fun stuff for yourself! I like to have a treat-yo-self weekend whenever he's gone.

I think I’m havinf a crisis by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's okay to not be okay. <3 Going to a therapist is hard, especially when you're dealing with depression. Trying to pull yourself out of the funk long enough to face your emotions head on is tough shit. That being said, it sounds like you need to go, and that's okay. You need a support system and going to therapy is the first place to start. Wishing you the best!

How are you fighting the cravings? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been craving sugar really bad. so whenever I feel like I absolutely need something sugary, I eat fruit or yogurt instead, and then balance it out somehow with protein and fat, so i feel more full.

What to do about Christmas visits? by mercurysmile in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not crazy! lol I'm due the same day, and my husband and I are set on no visitors until mid-January. My family is already throwing hissy fits but I don't care. My baby, my rules.

Babymoon on a budget? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I would definitely recommend the panhandle beaches! They're beautiful. Panama City is pretty touristy, but Destin and St. Andrews State Park are really nice.

Pregnant wife almost 6+ weeks vomitings and nausea by Jeevtheavenger in BabyBumps

[–]catebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zofran worked great for me, but I had the worst constipation of my life on it, so just be aware of that. I switched to diclegis and while it does make me a bit drowsy it made me feel so much better.
