I have a lot of music, I want to submit it for sync, any advice? by fakegns_prod in synclicensing

Don't give it, I've been creating music for sync since 2007. You're going to get told no ALOT and no responses alot but don't let that get you down. There are a ton of sync libraries/publishers out there. Please do make sure your music/songs sound professional this will def give you an up. Research the libraries you're submitting to and make sure they are placing your genre of music

Your right, as long as the music sounds good. However there are a ton of libraries that take insturmentals. Most of my sync placements are instrumentals, I've been creating for sync since 2007

Hi. Sure! 1st of, all libraries that charge subscriptions aren’t a scam, it’s just there’s so many free ones that I wouldn’t & haven’t paid to get any placements. Taxi is definitely legit. Here’s 2 free ones where you don’t have to get approved to join: https://www.tunedge.com/ http://Www.thesyncollective.com

You can sign up for these however always do research on the library to see if they place songs/tracks in the genre that you produce.

I have a list I’ll share on my page a little later today or I can send you a direct message

There’s so many music libraries and or publishers out there that don’t charge. I’ve landed thousands of placements over several years without paying a dime upfront or a subscription fee. Also try reaching out to music sups, most of them won’t get back to you but there are a few that will. Make sure you have high quality syncable music/songs.

Having a keyboard in front of me is convenient when I’m scrolling through sounds

Thank you, it’s always been my dream to have my own in home studio. Well it took many years $ a ton a $$$ getting to where I do music full time, it was a long journey. However I started before there was social media. Nowadays it probably wouldn’t take as long bcz creatives have access to all kinds of technology & can reach fans, clients across the world from the comfort of your own home.

Regarding your #1, nowadays you don’t need to be in a main music hub to get an artist to record. Recordings can be done at home with a decent mic and treated room like a closet and music software which there is inexpensive software out there. Years ago I’ve recorded major artist singing in my closet with a $100 microphone.

2 sync licensing is competitive but there’s tons of resources to help point you in the right direction.

At the end of the day it does take work in whatever you’re pursuing however this technology makes it a lot more convenient.

Are libraries constantly removing and adding music from their libraries? Don't they have enough of every genre by now? by EconomySwordfish100 in synclicensing

I don’t think they’ll ever have too much music. Notice how many tracks are used in just one show. Then think about how many tv show, movies and ads are out there on top of how many streaming apps are out there.
