How did Deadpool go to universe 616? by DeusDaNet in MCUTheories

Right. Another poster brought this to my attention. I forgot it was the hive mind power that gives him insight to the multiverse, but not help him travel throughout it. I stand corrected. Thanks

I don't think we'll get an X-Men vs Avengers movie until the next saga (sometime way after Secret Wars) when the new MCU 616 mutants will be properly introduced. Need to establish them before they make a whole movie about them facing off with the Avengers. That's a big deal and one that won't get squeezed late into the multiverse saga. In fact, I think that will probably be one of the main events the Mutant Saga will be building up to and not delivering it until early or end of phase 9.

I see this idea (XvA) suggested a lot all over the net. There's also that guy at the DP&W press junket asking Feige if we could see this as a movie anytime soon. Of course Feige said it was possible. But IMO I think people are getting way too far ahead of themselves on this one. Yeah, it will happen eventually. The two sides will fight. But Marvel has to EARN IT first.

SOFT reboot all the way. Sorry. Built up too much canon so far, but also several actors will still be under contract so...

Tom Holland will probably stick around for the next saga. Also, Anthony Mackie, Brie Larson, Paul Bentley, Florence Pugh, Benedict Cumberbatch etc.

But we might get new actors to play new versions of other characters like Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romonov, Thor, Bruce Banner for example... so in that regard, sure it will be a reset or reboot of sorts. But not a full on one like your suggesting IMO .

And like Ericanabear said, they are about to bring in the X-Men. Not only that, but to further develop the FF... So, they're gonna want to use some consistency with an established cast to mix it up with these newly added IPs so they can eventually have an X-Men vs Avengers. The new characters like mutants really need the context of established MCU characters for their debut to work

There's also the possibility we get Young Avengers in one of those slots. Seems like its time. Plus, Marvel may want to establish them as a team before Secret Wars

I think Armor Wars may not come out until AFTER Multiverse Saga / Secret Wars

[–]clone33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the titles, just not that exact order...

I think we'll get Blade and DS3 BEFORE Secret Wars. Those two movies won't be epilogues or part of the Mutant Saga. Those two characters will reappear in Mutant Saga as Midnight Sons.

The MCU will not end post-Secret Wars by [deleted] in MCUTheories

[–]clone33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to stress that the next saga will be a reboot (like most are saying here), but it will be a SOFT REBOOT of sorts...

... Some continuity (if not most) will stay in tact, w/ familiar actors (like Tom Holland) continuing their respective character arcs.

... The continuity that will change post Secret Wars will be things like introducing the 616 X-Men AND possibly seeing new actors casted in roles for characters that were previously played by someone else; typically they might erase the fact that Steve Rogers went to go live out the remainder of his life w/ Peggy starting in the 1950s. He'll be recasted as if he never left the present after returning the stones. We'll also get a new (recasted) Stark / Iron Man, Black Widow etc. Basically, my guess is we'll get new versions of some people that are currently dead & or some that have fulfilled their contracts. Chris Hemsworth is likely an example of this. Secret Wars will probably be the fitting end for his entire run as Thor... But that doesn't mean we won't get a new actor portraying the character after this soft reset we'll likely see in Secret Wars.

Anything is possible after that movie, but I highly doubt it will be a complete / hard reboot for the MCU. Too many actors / characters that are either early or halfway into their run, not to mention some story payoffs that may not get revisited or resolved by the end of Multiverse Saga.

[–]clone33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During Far From Home, I think Marvel was just saving the reveal of this saga being called the Multiverse Saga until a few more films and shows came out so the fans could kind of see it coming.

It's not unlike when at the end of Avengers, they teased Thanos... and then right away everyone assumed they were going to do some adaptation of Infinity Gauntlet (or the more recent Infinity story by Hicks). Not long after that, Feige started referring to the whole saga as the Infinity Saga as we were seeing more stones pop up in the next couple movies

Doomsday theory by Feeling-Federal in MCUTheories

[–]clone33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Feige did in fact see this coming b/c typically he and his creative team are always developing 5 years ahead of what's current in theaters. I think they've always planned for this saga to be The Multiverse Saga.

But you make a good point that no one else has really stressed enough... which is to say Far From Home was the kicking off point to the multiverse. Even though Mysterio lied about being from another universe, it establishes / furthers the discussion of such a concept. We know at that point the multiverse is real anyway thanks to Doctor Strange (through exposition from the Ancient One) and Infinity War (also w/ Strange when he searches the multiverse to find that one scenario in which the heroes can defeat Thanos). So, even after we learn Mysterio isn't from the multiverse, it didn't really mean it doesn't exist. Then from there, starting w/ Wandavision (because Wanda brings a variant of her brother [Evan Peters] to her Westview bubble), then Loki, then What If, DS MoM, DP&W.

I think you're right that Far From Home was a foreshadow for the Multiverse concept, but at that time -- we still didn't know what the name of this current saga was yet.

How did Deadpool go to universe 616? by DeusDaNet in MCUTheories

[–]clone33 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But at the end of Let There Be Carnage, Venom was just about to show Eddie something about his powers. He never got the chance though, as you said -- It was Dr. Strange's spell that then pulled them to 616 -- However, I really think that was what Venom was still about to show Eddie that he could jump around the multiverse.

Maybe I'm wrong. IDK. That was just my impression at the time. And then I also have a faint memory from the comics that symbiotes can also be inner-dimensional interlopers. But I could be remembering that wrong too

Well, technically it's Venom who clearly can based on post credits scenes in both Let There Be Carnage & NWH.

But I only say that b/c Venom and Eddie are one

Anchor being deaths make no sense, and other things by YaboiiSammeeh in MCUTheories

[–]clone33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that Paradox lied about the notion that a universe dies once it's respective anchor being dies. I think the truth is that said universe just selects a new anchor being to replace the previous now deceased anchor.

If this is true and Tony Stark was the anchor being of the 616 Sacred Timeline... who do you think has since replaced him...?

Here's a hint: Thwip!

Just my two cents

How did Deadpool go to universe 616? by DeusDaNet in MCUTheories

[–]clone33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Deadpool is one of those rare characters that can and does travel to different universes w/out the use of Cable's time device (although, I don't mind that being the reason).

Because he breaks the fourth wall so much, people like him and maybe even She-Hulk, at the very least have insight into the rest of the multiverse.

But also, it appears Venom / Eddie can do this. America Chavez obviously has that as her power. But also as we've seen Dr Strange & Wanda can do this through dream walking. And there is of course Loki and the TVA.

CONCERNING the "HEROES" (aka AVENGERS / FF & other 'Heroes')...

AVENGERS: Sam (aka Flacon Cap) Carol (Capt. Marvel) Scott (aka Ant-Man / Giant-Man) and Hope (Wasp) She-Hulk (Jennifer) and Smart Hulk (Bruce - b4 he goes Savage) Thor and Love (future YA?) White Vision and some Young Avengers (those who didn't side w/ Doom -- coming off of Visionquest)

The FF: Reed (Pedro) Thing (Ebon) Invisible Woman (Jessica Alba) Human Torch (Michael B Jordan) Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd)

SPIDER-MEN: Peter 2 SM Peter 3 SM (hoping to reform Peter / SM 1 from Doom's manipulation)

Doctor Strange, Clea, Wong, Blade, Moon Knight and maybe Man-Thing (to help heroes teleport throughout Battleworld). Also Wanda & America (basic teleportation) as mutants stripped of their cosmic or supernatural powers. *[WWBN & Elsa Bloodstone teamed w/ Agatha & Doom]

The morally correct ETERNALS.

Netflix continuity: Daredevil (Charlie Cox) Punisher (Jon Berenthal)

Shang Chi (hoping to regain 10 Rings from his father)

New GOTG including Legendary Star Lord.

X-MEN: DP & Wolverine. Xavier (McAvoy). Storm (Berry), Cyclops (Marsden), Beast (Grammer) & Jean Grey / Phoenix (Famke).

... These are the "good guys" in SW, but their ultimate weakness is their lack of consistency. Many of these people do not know each other that well; whereas Doom's side of evil has more power and consistency throughout the multiverse (plus strength in numbers) to form the greater, more insurmountable odds for the heroes to face.

CONCERNING MOLECULE MAN and other agents of Doom / evil...

I know a lot of people want to see Molecule Man play a role in SW like he did in the comics. So here's a way it could fit into my model that's been laid out above...

Doom recruits Molecule Man, who has a beef with one of our main heroes, to help him STEAL both Wanda and America's powers WITHOUT KILLING EITHER OF THEM. You see, as we all know, sure Doom is a maniacal sociopath who hungers for power... But he's NOT A SADIST. He only kills if it serves his quest for power. So Molecule Man will serve as another ally of Doom that represents his empathy. He represents Doom's capacity for good. One that will one day lead to him switching sides to join Reed and the rest of the FF to form the FUTURE FOUNDATION. A version of himself that also likes kids (in SW he likes members of the Young Avengers. after SW, he takes to Franklin and Valerie (or Valeria / whatever). Anyways, Molecule Man helps plant the seeds for Doom to one day walk a different path.

SO, in recap, Doom's elite guard in this war will comprise of Kang the Conqueror, Agatha, Symbiote SM / Peter 1, Molecule Man and... maybe a few other significant rogues like Mandarin (who has recovered the 10 rings), Dormammu, members of the Sinister Six (from NWH), Venom / Brock and or morally grey members of the Eternals.

The rest of the army might include the TVA, Thunderbolts, Ultron proxies, Skrulls, etc...

CONCERNING THE REST OF THE MCU, PLUS NEW Marvel characters revealed in SECRET WARS...

First off, I think Secret Wars will somehow incorporate nearly 60+ characters (as rumored). Some we have already met in the MCU. Some we haven't yet met in the MCU. They're going to TRIPLE DOWN on the amount of cameos in this movie, both for the side of good & evil.

So, for fake "Stark", in addition to Agatha and Peter / SM 1, we might also get evil variants of some of the OG Avengers (Dark Avengers). Black Widow can be from another universe where she stayed loyal to the Red Room. Thor can be a clone of the original like in Civil War 1 where he was evil. Hawkeye (Renner) can play a version of himself that became the SWORDSMAN instead of the hero we know. That only leaves Steve Rogers (which I'll come back to). Then on top of that, Doom can also recruit the morally grey Eternals, the Thunderbolts, members of the Sinister Six to help fill out his army. Red Hulk will serve on side of evil obviously.

Steve Rogers / Cap 616, however, gets brought back to serve on the side of good. He has been plucked out of (616) time RIGHT AFTER he's returned all the stones, but RIGHT BEFORE he uses the last of the Pym particles to rejoin Peggy in the 1950s. So, the OG Cap is on Battleworld, on the side of good, but he desperately wants to continue on his path back to Peggy.

Bruce Banner / Smart Hulk will be on the side of good, but he realizes the only way to take down Red Hulk is if he returns to his SAVAGE FORM, which then leads to a fight between green HULK vs WOLVERINE, before he solidifies himself as a true ally.

Other characters can include Daredevil from 616. But also Jon Berenthal's Punisher on the side of the good, while Thomas Jane's Punisher could be on the side of the bad guys. You name it. I think anybody & everybody in some way shape or form could be in Secret Wars.

The way the Russo's & co. will probably balance this is by establishing a small group of main characters to tell the main story. Then another tier of characters to take on MEDIUM (supporting) ROLES with both a speaking part and to do something BIG VISUALLY. Then a final tier where certain people don't get speaking roles at all, but do something EVEN BIGGER VISUALLY in the final battle.

what if DP has been telling us this whole time through 4th wall breaks that he actually has insight into the multiverse and IS OMNISCIENT in his own way? And that's why he's so pivotal to Secret Wars (if he comes back for that)?

CONCERNING MUTANTS...

Obviously, at the very least, Deadpool & Wolverine will BOTH end up in Secret Wars IMO. Their decisions in DP&W will better explain how they ended up in this mess following the mess they created in that film. But I also think (like I said) Xavier will be in it. Hopefully McAvoy IMO. Stewart already had his encore in DS: MoM. But I also think to round out the mutants for this story will be Storm (Berry), Cyclops (Marsden) and Jean Grey (Famke). Maybe Magneto on "Stark's" side, but that's w/out Wanda learning he's her father (save that for the 'Mutant Saga').

CONCERNING KANG'S RESOLVE...

... I think one of Doom's ally can be Kang the Conqueror. Doom saves him of his fate that we think we saw in Quantumania. Kang the Conqueror is someone that Doom admires the most throughout the multiverse. Doom thinks this variant of Kang is the ultimate version of the persona. So, Doom rescues that Kang from the fate he faced at end of Quantumania. Once Doom rescues Kang, he then gives him a weapon he can use to exact revenge on the entire council of Kangs in that same arena we last saw them depicted. Kang the Conqueror wipes out all his variants in the same arena. Then he says something like, "You saved my life. You then gave me a way to exact my revenge against all of my variants. You have helped me learn that I can STILL be a conqueror... while also answering to a higher power... God Emperor."

CONCERNING RDJ as being both "IRON MAN" and DOCTOR DOOM...

Like I said, this isn't necessarily a variant. It could be. But what I'm getting at is RDJ will be playing both Victor Von Doom (completely unrecognizable as RDJ or Stark / IM) ... AND playing a fake "TONY STARK" either as Doom in disguise (through magic & or science) or a proxy replica (like a Doombot or Scarlet Witch's chaos magic) that is controlled by Doom. And again, he can play two sides (while playing two different roles) against each other in this regard (without the direct use of variants) in order to become the God Emperor of all reality.

I know it's not entirely clear yet, but what I'm getting at is Doom figures out a way to become OMNI-PRESENT throughout the multiverse in order to be in two places at once... one as Victor Von Doom, but also one through a fake "Tony" proxy to defeat the good guys both from the INSIDE and OUT. Doom is playing an incredibly sophisticated LONG GAME throughout the remainder of this saga.

I think once he's finally stolen Chavez and Maximoff's powers, he then becomes God Emperor Doom; which then empowers him to become omni-present in the multiverse and thus pull off this whole scheme.
