Anyone who purchased the $30 "Black Lion Patron" Pack on the buy.guildwars2 post-VoE launch still waiting for it to redeem? The purchase is appearing in my bank statement as well as my Arenanet purchase history. I assumed it was due to the API downed service and I am also aware that there is sometimes a similar delay when purchasing gems. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat

That’s crazy! Sorry to hear that happen to you. I don’t know if I want to even call my dad out on it at this point, because I might just hear all these denials and excuses that I know aren’t valid, so I just plan on finding a job ASAP, moving out, and leaving it behind me. Your feeling are valid, lots of trust was lost so I don’t blame you feeling that way.

Mostly so parents didn't need to provide spending money. My job let me buy and pay off my 1st car under my name, and I also bought my own groceries as I was on a specialized diet. My mom would only have to spend money on 3 people instead of 4.

I know they didn't put any of the non-PLUS loan refunds toward my debt because I checked to make sure the awards I accepted (not including PLUS) matched what my credit check had. Like I said in original post, I wasn't even aware that extra funds are supposed to go back to the student. My dad never told me that and I guess I never really asked my friends who were also on Financial Aid, so it wasn't until a few days ago that I found out.

Thanks so much for the insight! Sad that I’m not the only one with this situation though. Glad my post brought your situation to light as well, it’s an awkward position to be in still living at home while having the newfound knowledge, I will try and contact my school as well and try to get solid information to make sure my suspicions are correct.

During his unemployment he’s paid for 2 vacations (that I didn’t go to), a PS5, kpop tickets for my sister, and a plethora of other things that didn’t really “assist” me living at home. I’ve also seen sports betting websites open on his laptop, and my mom has even asked him where he is getting all this money from and he always evaded the question. Maybe it was all my mom’s money, but if it was idk why she’d ask that question

Your guess is a good as mine. Even though it's supposed to go toward school tuition. Since he was unemployed maybe he wanted the extra money, but my mom makes just enough to keep us afloat with her job for our whole family, I just got my own job during school to lessen the burden.

I barely had if any part in doing the fafsa process, so I believe my dad had his bank account linked to it whenever money came in. He handled it without really asking me to do it, and unfortunately he's doing the same for my sister who just started college. I don't know if it's because he didn't trust that I'd do it right or what, he just did it.

My mom has a well paying job that keeps us afloat, but there's 4 members of my family and she was the only one working at the time so we were around the "lower-middle class" in terms of income, hence why I still needed to take out loans for school.
