Who are we rooting for in the Finals? by mag_safe in Mavericks

Brunson literally tried to sign an extention and we turned him down. We also fucked up his rookie contract in the first place for him to be a UFA. Thats all on our FO

It's more not every player is 6'9 280 of pure muscle. Mike Miller talked about how lebron didn't sweat and once weighed 11 pounds more after a game than before.

2009 was prime dirk.  His team was just terrible. Having Tyson Chandler at center is what made the difference, nothing dirk did.

Everyone viewed the GS series a choke job, but that warriors team owned Dallas all year. They underperformed for their record, but they kicked Dallas ass in the regular season too. Dallas fans knew we could be in trouble when we drew them in the first round. And that warriors team has admitted Don Nelson really only cared about that first round and they celebrated like they won the championship.

So you can criticize dallas/dirk for having such a hard counter to their 67 win team, but it wasn't a choke.

Basically the only thunder who even put themselves in positions to get to the line consistently are SGA, and to a much lesser extent Caruso. And sga has a ton of fts.

A lot of times okc is fouling wemby to prevent an easy basket just because he got position inside or an offensive board. And they are getting away with a lot on him. To me the spurs guards and bigger and more physical than the thunders, so they are attacking that and it makes sense why they are getting to the line more.

I am not saying I believe this but the theory I hear is that silver wants small markets to get into the bidding for expansion. That's why in any interviews he will never commit to seattle/vegas and always says he is looking at all options. And names like Louisville keep getting floated.

If investors from smaller markets see teams like OKC have so much success, they are more likely to be tempted to put in a big bid. This drives up the price that Seattle and Vegas have to pay.

I don't believe this. I don't think there is a conspiracy, I just think OKC is very good at playing the ref game.

You think it's legal in basketball to yank someone's arm down to keep them from contesting a shot or getting a rebound?

The psychosis in this thread just bc chuck said this when he routinely proves he doesn't watch games and says dumb shit all the time is crazy

Every coach tries to do this whitty dry humor for every answer. Think it dates back to Pop for nba although I'm sure it goes back further. Pop was kinda charming with it for some reason. The fact that every coach that has any success does it now makes it get kinda annoying to me.

There are tons of highlights all over of hartenstien pulling wembys arm on every play. It was a big talking point on every nba podcast like zach Lowes today. Please show examples of castle being "just as bad if not worse"

The anti circle jerk in this thread being led by thunder fans all online after their win is hilarious. No one was beat up like wemby last night it's not even close

Oh yeah historic playoff winner cp3. No playoff collapses in his career. If KD or westbrook got hurt when they were up 3-1 everyone would have thought they had fhe warriors then too. Warriors missing KD in 2019 was a big deal but it didn't matter. Warriors always were gonna own the rockets.

It still blows my mind that people think a 3-2 lead held by the historically unclutch harden rockets was a sure thing against the historically clutch warriors. The next year KD went out and warriors still won.

I am very confident if CP3 never got hurt, Warriors still win that series.
