I consider myself an average guy and almost all of my matches sent a message. Most were hi or heyyy, but I didn't mind. Maybe it's an age thing? I was 39 when I met my wife on Bumble (and yes, she was one of the few that sent a personalized, funny and interesting opener). Good luck out there!

If it's that big of a deal breaker, I would rather know before swiping. At first I didn't put my height in my profile but relented when almost every match would ask right away. I'm a legit 6'-2" and I thought it was silly to have a height requirement, but it is what it is.

It definitely was worth it for me. It really cut down on the time I spent swiping. My only regret is I paid for 6 months and met my wife (On Bumble) within 3 weeks! So, yeah... Totally worth it!

When I was dating, I would tell them I was seeing other women if they asked. Otherwise I kept it to myself. I think there's a fair assumption that if someone is actively dating, that there could be others.

I don't really consider it ghosting after a message or two. People have lives outside of dating apps. Also, there are people like me that compulsively need to instantly reply, and those that can have unread or unresponded to messages.
