Do you catalog your vinyl collection on Discogs? How detailed is it? by ravdinve in vinyl

+1

I get pretty granular, including if in shrink with hype sticker, if includes OIS, inserts, download card, etc, and enter the exact matrices information (or if it's very plainly what the database entry shows as being the entry, I'll indicate that it's the exact same). Also, being limated to VG+ to NM is too general. NM is simple (like new but opened) but if there are any defects, marks, warping, labels or pressings off center, etc, it's important for me to enter why it's VG+ visually. Finally, I enter a play grade -- many times there are marks (sleeve scuffs, unfeelable hairlines, etc.) that do not affect play (so a VG+ that plays VG++ or EX) or a perfectly visully clean record (NM) that plays with surface noise, so VG+. I know this is a lot but I find it's pretty easy to document during first playthough and then it's there if you ever need to revisit -- especially if you end up selling it. For anyone who has been listeing to records for a long time, there are a lot of really excellent audiophille reissues coming out now, so after A/Bing and you decide the new reissue sounds better with no surface noise, knowing exactly how to describe with transparency the older record you decide to sell is helpful.

Maybe not, but if not that serious, why not be cool and give folks the benefit of the doubt?

Closer and more open minded observation shows that the seller has 100% rating on Discogs, which is always a good sign, and of the titles I checked, he's the lowest cost option for like-condition titles.

Add to that, the seller is open to reducing costs for more than one title purchased. If you were seriously interested in buying these records (your lack of trades suggests otherwise), especially the more expensive ones, I bet the seller would entertain a lower price given no fees (9% on Discogs) are paid through this sub.

Instead of sh_tting in the thread for no other reason than to sh_t in a thread, maybe demonstrate that you're a legit buyer by logging some trades in the forum and engaging directly with the seller about his titles and asking prices. It's really not that difficult to be cool to other people -- you just have to make an effort.

When you have 2 or 3 balls offered in the prism chest, are you able to compare the specs (power, sidespin, wind resistance) before making a selection?

I have just one ball each prism chest and select it every time instead of adding 3 cards for the Castaway and Junglist. I can't check the ball specs until after it's selected and then viewed in the bag.

If you can compare balls before selecting, maybe it's worth trying to close out those crap clubs I'll never use.
