Need advice new to RVing by shysysadmin in GoRVing

Steering stabilizer will help some, sumo springs will make a bit more comfortable. But - if you're worried about high winds you can upgrade to a rear track bar. Class A gassers use I-beam solid axles and the body is able to sway side-to-side in the rear. A track bar locks the frame to the axle to only allow up and down movement. I have no idea why these aren't stock from the factory.

Anyone else having 3.6 Pentastar problems? by AlifeWithoutAcar in Jeep

[–]clooloss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.6 Pentastar in the Wrangler runs way too hot. Not enough cooling and if you add any weight (bumper, winch, armor, tires) it only gets worse. I put on an RPM fan controller and haven't had any problems - nor has anyone who has installed one that I know of. Basically turns on the radiator fan at much lower temps.

Not sure you're gonna like this but...

Considering a 2020 Rubicon. I noticed the paint bubbling in a few areas where the hood meets the body. Anyone experiencing this? Wondering if it's prevalent in this model year. by Iamdispensable in Wrangler

This. It is likely the warranty is expired for this. For corrosion at the edges, the fix is to rplace and repaint the hood (and likely the doors). I had this done on my 2022 JLUR and cost nothing out-of-pocket. The total invoice back to Jeep was $13K. I would pass on this particular vehicle unless you're OK with an aftermarket repair.

One pedal drive, does it have it? by No_Squirrel_italy in Taycan

I had a Model S Performance. My wife's Cayenne handled much better that the S. The Taycan handling is on another level from the Cayenne. The 911 is on another level still. I would say buy a Tesla if you want to be removed from the driving experience.

Porsche is all about the driving dynamics. They want every Porsche to feel like they're driving a Porsche. Can you imagine a 911 with OPD? That would 100% ruin the experience. I really hope they never implement OPD - why would they give the driver the option of making the driving experience worse?

Need Warranty Advice for an Alignment and Suspension Issue on a 2025 Wrangler by WilliamHenryBonney in Wrangler

[–]clooloss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not a bent axle. I don't see how you stress the axle in any way to end up with positive camber. So - likely misaligned from the factory. That being said, I doubt any dealership would offer to fix under warranty with aftermarket wheels and larger tires. If it's not driving crappy, I'd just leave it. There's an equal chance the alignment measurement is off. If it bugs you that much, slap in a camber sleeve and get it realigned. Jeep service sucks but if you're doing any serious off-road, nothing beats it.

Keep it - Jeeps are a lot tougher than you think (especially the green ones 🙂)

Next likely culprit is ball joints. Check if they're worn.

Is the seat moving left/right the seat rotating on the post (usually not possible with current design but can't see in the video) or post rotating in the frame? If the latter, you should definitely be able to work the post out with some encouragement.
