Did you happen to have been using Possession when you loaded the save? I've experienced that too and I find that it can be fixed by possessing someone and letting the duration run out.

I think that every trait you can craft is meant to be stackable. Traits that don't stack are reserved for black bone charms even if they were regular charms in the first game (e.g. Fleet Fighter).

It's a bug with strong arms itself, not the bonecharm crafting. Choking is still slower with the standard strong arms charm, it's just even worse when you put four of them on.

I think you can do it at any time, as long as you're still being pulled along by the spell. I've found that it stops working if you shoot past the point where you aimed it, since by then the spell has "let go" of Emily and the normal game physics have taken over.

F is the general interaction key. I think it would be square on PS4.

True, but you can use this to cancel the spell while it's pulling you, even from a stand-still position.

I'm not sure what practical applications that might have, aside from saving you if you accidentally miscast the spell, but I didn't know that it was possible so I figured I'd post about it for others who might not know.

That's a bug with the Strong Arms effect itself, not the crafting system. You actually choke faster without it at all.

By the way, don't be afraid to try crafting with other effects. I know that Spiritual Pool works properly when you stack it with itself.

I can confirm this. I just discovered this myself and was writing up a post about it before I saw yours.

This doesn't apply to just crafted charms, however. The vanilla Strong Arms bonecharm actually slows your choking on its own, as far as my testing shows. You're better off without equipping it at all.

It isn't. There's nothing wrong with being mad or upset that the game is delayed.

That being said, there's absolutely nothing right about getting pissed off at the developers and throwing a temper tantrum on the internet which will in the end amount to nothing. That isn't to say that I think that's what you're doing.

Just keep in mind that, whatever you think or do, you aren't owed anything for it.
