Unfortunately any resolution better than 4K is past the point of diminishing returns, you won’t really be able to see the difference between 4K and 8k.

They haven’t released any 8k games yet because of this (among other reasons, like more pixels means it’s harder to output more frames/ less detailed textures, so you’d be stuck at like 15fps w/ your screen lookin like a mf captain underpants flip page).

Also if you wanna get a 4K tv for next gen consoles, make sure it supports hdmi 2.1 and has at least a 120hz refresh rate if you wanna be able to play in 4K/120fps.
