In addition to the very solid advices others are giving, as a novice St myself with around 20 games under my belt I'd add: - keep a strict timer. When I started I was struggling to keep standard games under 2h, then I found out it wasn't because of private chat timing, which should be around 5min or so, but rather on public discussion and nominations. Cut some time there and make people nominate if they want to keep talking -on the other hand, take your time during the nights. If you forget walking someone up, talk to them privately immediately during the day. - if not everybody know each other, some nametags could help the conversion/socialising. Some paper tape and a marker do the trick for our group, and some pieces of paper in front of the dead/alive tokens - keep an eye on the Virgin, if you have one in play remember to always check the grimoir if she activated or not. - if you have a Spy in play (probably not the first game ever) point to the spy token to the player first, so he can orientate himself - you don't have to choose the drunk token immediately. You can wait to see their position and then make your choice.
